OMGOSH I PROMISE YA IT AINT HERE IN THE DIRTY SOUTH OF New Orleans and Baton Rouge :( one vape store here in my suburb of N.O. and the juice is wretched and the staff doesn't really know that much. in fact they were going to name a juice flave after me because I was teaching them about mixing juices and strengths and how to get a good throat hit, based on my 6 month of Internet searches and chat rooms. ( in other words the blind definitely leading the blind) PeaceLoveAndVape HippieChik

I'm surprised there aren't B&Ms all over the place in NYC like there are in LA. Is it because of all the tough anti-smoking regulations you guys have?

We have the e-cig throwaways in bodegas on every corner, but not many vape stores at all. I think only 2 between Manhattan and Brooklyn TOTAL. There are ton of "head shops" in the village which have been there forever selling pipes/hookahs etc, I'm hoping they'll all start to expand and start carrying vape stuff too. In the meantime every purchase has been online for me so far - and yes it's probably due to Bloomberg and his ridiculous regulations. At $13.00+ a pack, the gov't here has ALOT to lose, so they're keeping a lid on things :grr:

Question - if you own a bar why would you not take a small section of wall behind the bar and open a mini vape shop yourself (remembering that you cannot mark up vape equipment the same percentage as alcohol) - you could have $5000 worth of equipment and juice in a box the size of a footlocker in your office for backstock (not including any expensive mods or rba's)

Ah ! My hero :) Sounds like a roadtrip:rickroll:

Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area has a ton of shops. Maybe a dozen or two dedicated shops, and probably a hundred tobacco shops that sell some form of ecig gear. It's really taken off around here, I never run into anyone who doesn't know what an ecig is and never get looks when carrying eGos or anything around.

I live in Alaska and we are usually a couple years behind the lower 48 with anything new in use/popularity. However, we have 3 dedicated shops I know of here in Anchorage; 2 I have been to and 1 that I believe is super new and I just heard the ad for; plan to go check it out over the weekend. Anchorage is the biggest city here with many miles and often plan rides to get to any others..I haven't seen any vapors out and about but I know we have a growing population.

Yeah we have East Coast cigarette prices here as well. No sales tax here EXCEPT on cigarettes there is a flat state tax in addition to the federal tax which is used to fund local non-profits I hear through budgetary talks. So glad to be rid of that expenditure! An entire 30ml bottle
Of juice is often cheaper then a pack of cigarettes here.

Just started on this hobby recently and I feel really fortunate that there are so many vape stores in the LA area. Right now if I do a search in Yelp, there are 6 vape shops within 2 miles of my office and 22 vape shops within 5 miles. I've only visited a few of them so far and they've all been really great. The markup over internet prices wasn't as high as I feared and the people working in all the shops I've been to were all knowledgeable and helpful. Plus they all have nice juice bars which I find a much better option than the internet juice lottery.

Reading some of the posts in these forums, it appears that not all regions have the same range and breadth of options. I'm curious what other cities/areas have really well developed vape scenes.

You wanna throw a few of those up here to NorCal? I live in the far East Bay and the closest one to me is about 30 minutes away or so. Only get to visit it when I get together with a friend who lives in the area. About the only thing we have close to me is a few smoke shops that sell cheapo stuff.

Not much here is Upstate South Carolina (Greenville). I've been to one in the city proper - no-name juice at $7/10mL (terrible stuff), a bolt clone (FastTech $12.91) for fifty-five dollars, etc. I've heard another opened downtown but haven't been there yet. That's about it.

Granted, I don't get out a lot, but I've never seen anyone vaping 'in the wild'.
