Sofar the Kanger T3S and Innokin iClear30 have been the least hassle free for me on a MVP. My Pro Tank II is a being temperamental with some juice and one replacement coil. The coils that came with it are fine and im sure the ones i bought were real Kanger also. Its a great tank though when its working right and i really prefer a glass tank when possible. Its probably user error on my part.

For the price, the T3S is really hard to beat and works great with no fiddling. Locally i can get them for $8 each or i get a nice discount on 5 packs. It has not had a single gurgle or leak yet but its not very old either. Draw is easy but it makes up for it in vapor and flavor.

T3S coils are also slightly cheaper than the PT/evod coils but not by much.

Remember there is a T3 and a T3S. They use different coils and the T3 coils can be very expensive, it includes the base as well. I think you can convert a T3 to a T3S with a new base and then use T3S coils.

iClear16 is going to be my next one to try. Coils interchange with the i30 coils if you like to experiment or if just cant find the i16s locally. They are rare around here but the 30s are all over at the B&Ms.

Some local STL info
Stella Blues in Cedar Hills has the T3S if you want to give one a try. Their in house made Blueberry Waffle juice is also really good!!! STLVapor has the best price in the iClear30s in the STL area. A shop near Mid Rivers Mall (Smart Smoke or SmokeSmart?) before Mexico road has the best price on the Pro Tank IIs.

Supreme Nicotine is high on everything!!!!!

Some shop on Jungerman rd in St Charles had 2 iClear16s left but they were REALLY high priced.

After 1 year on ECF and from my own experience, I believe the choice of clearomizers is almost as personal as juice flavors. Many like bottom coils, but I think they are too cool and airy. I prefer top coils for warmer and stiffer draw. For a larger tank I use the Kanger T2. For a smaller tank the Kanger T4. I have had my best luck with stuff from Kanger. I would agree that you may want to try a couple of different varieties to find what's best for you.

Most clearos will leak if you do something wrong. Some are designed with a little more wiggle room for operator error, but if you get a seal not seated correctly, or overfill - it's going to leak.

As Chimney34 said (wisely), maybe get two different types to see what will work for you. Perhaps an EVOD or a T3S and something like a vivi nova, CE5 or iClear30 - just so you can experience the difference between a top and a bottom coil.

Everyone will have an opinion and offer it up (just like I did!) but sometimes the only way to find a clearo that you like, that you can trouble-shoot and that you enjoy the vape from, is a matter of trial and error.

Just remember, you sometimes (always?) have to fiddle with most delivery devices before they a) work correctly and b) get the vape that satisfies.

I've used the following, and my preferences in order are:

  • 1. Innokin iClear 30 - dual coil with 16 wicks, not had ANY problem with these. Easy top fill. Rotatable "knucklehead" tip a plus. Nice flavor and vapor production. If this was pyrex it would be perfect.
  • 2. Innokin iClear 16 - single coil but nice vape. eGo thread needs a 510-eGo adaptor for my mods. Easy top fill. Preferred using this when I had my iTaste MVP.
  • 3. Kanger Protank 1 & 2 - Pyrex and bottom coil a plus for me. Slightly cooler vape which I prefer. Option to use a different drip tip on version 2 a plus. Removal from mod requires caution to not dump juice. Occasional blank hits resolved by dry burn. 510 connector a plus.
  • 4. Kanger Evod - Similar vape to Protank. Similar issues with removal from mod & blank hits as with Protanks. Requires a 510-eGo adaptor.
  • 5. Vision Vivi Nova - Build quality not up to par with the above competition. Easy top fill. 510 connector. Flavors often muted, occassional dry hits despite using the tilt.

And just to prove that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my list would almost be an exact reverse of this one (except I have not tried the iclear16)
