Hello all, Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. I have been smoking for many years now and just want to quit once and for all. I have been researching the E-Cig now for a couple of days and am torn. Many conflicting reviews. Which one should I buy? I am ready. Thanks in advance for your help, Kimmie :)

Kimmie, I'm sure you'll get lots of replies to this, but probably most of them will be for the Joye 510. It's pretty reliable, and affordable. There are several suppliers to get it from, most notably Cignot.com.

I've been a smoker for 15 years and decided to try the Volcano e-cig after trying my friends. Volcano has a great website, and fantastic customer service. Ordered the standard Volcano kit, which is pretty affordable. After using the Volcano for about 2 weeks, was pretty frustrated w/ the short battery life and the "okay" amount of vapor. When they came out with the Magma, it was a no brainer for me. After having goodt experiences w/ Volcano thus far, I took the plunge. The Magma is far superior to the Volcano. Great vapor, long battery life and just great packaging. A little larger than the Volcano, but not too bad at all.

If you get the BLU I've seen posted in 2 places to check your atmoizer for a piece of foil stuck to the end of it after puncturing a new cart.

BLU and Volcano are interchangeable. I'd recommend starting with those or if you're really unsure, try a disposible (but note the flavors taste much better). These forums really tout the 510 as a best choice, and is likely the pro-vaperer option :)

I've gotten 3 loved ones to switch to ecigs now, and all of them have ordered the 510 no-box Kit from cignot.com and love it. I bought mine just about 2 months ago, and have not had a single analog in that time. I just "upgraded" to an eGo. I wanted to wait on spending the extra cash to be positive I wasn't going to start on the analogs again and let the ecig gather dust. I credit the 510 for making the transition simple :) Now I credit the eGo for making the transition awesome hehe

Hi Kimmie!
I have a Magma from Volcano, and I'm totally in love with it. I tried their original Volcano first, and while it cut me down from a pack & a half to a half pack, I didn't totally quit till I got my beloved Magma. It's a 510 like everyone else mentions - perfect for a long-time smoker.
I guess the difference for me is the fantastic customer service Volcano has - I've never had a question or a problem that hasn't been resolved in more than a few hours. When I had a battery problem I had 2 new batteries in my hand from Hawaii in 2 days - can't beat that!

Good luck!! Feel free to PM me if I can answer any questions - as a hardcore smoker (Ex now) I know how hard it is, and how confusing all this info can be be!!!! :)

Thanks so much for all of the great info. I appreciate you all taking the time to help narrow down my choices. I have been reading through the forums and it seems that most people were able to quit smoking with the help of the E-Cig so I am optimistic. I'm feeling less anxiety this time trying to kick my habit knowing that I have a healthier "substitute" in the wings.
I have tried quitting cold turkey and substituting cigs with butterscotch lifesavers before. Life savers just don't substitute the act of smoking and it's the "act" that I have a hard time giving up. Cause lets face it, cigarettes make you feel like crap. I haven't really enjoyed the residual effects of it for a few years now.
I have been smoking my entire adult life so to rewire the way I do things in everyday life is freaking me out, me being a complete creature of habit and all. The phone rings "let me get my cigarettes, after dinner "lets go outside for a cig, oh "we'll leave right after this cig". Doing my makeup, getting ready to go out, pull up an ashtray and have cig... the list is just endless. So as I said earlier I am quite optimistic giving up the tar & tobacco but not having to give up the actual act. I think it's going to be my ticket to a healthier way of doing things. I also think having this furum as a kind of support group can be very helpful as well. Have a great day all, Kimmie

Hi Kimmie & welcome to the ecf! You definitely came to the right place for advice and support, everyone is very nice and helpful. Personally I started out with the Joye 510, & I still use it today. You can get a no-box kit from Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. for around $35.00. This would be a good starter kit, and you wouldn't be spending too much to start out. Make sure you order some extra carts and a bottle or two of e-liquid so you don't run out. Then if you like vaping you can upgrade to a more expensive pv. Good Luck and let us know what you decide on and how you make out.

I purchased a bunch of e-cigs before finding the right one for me. I am not a big fan of cartomizers or pg juice so I had to discover that thru trial and error.

I went thru 5 crappy ecigs before I purchased the Silver Bullet by altsmoke. Do yourself a favor and get a good one from the start such as any 510 with drip tips and e juice.

If you want to drip then you will have to experiment on flavors and brands until you find the ones that work with you but it pays off to drip vs carts imo.

Because your new, I recommend a kr8...they are probably the easiest to use! None of that constant refilling.

I recommend vapor4life...100+flavors you can't go wrong.

...have also heard wonderful things about cignot.com

Tastyvapor has good juice

Best luck in your endeavors. Many people will recommend different suppliers, but in the end, do your research, find what will work best for you!
