Hello everyone,

I'm new to this vaping business. I have been looking at which e-cig to buy, and after looking at a few reviews on youtube, I think Totally Wicked look like they offer good, solid, well built products. I think I've narrowwed it down to either the Tornado eGo-C or Tornado tank. What are the pros and cons of each model? The main things I'm looking for are a strong hit on the back of my throat when I take a drag, lots of vapor and no leaking.
Cheers

Dex

Hello & welcome Dexter :)

For no leaking you would be best to go for cartomisers IMHO. A Riva is very similar to a Tornado (TW Tornado's are just rebranded ego's). A ggod price for a Riva from a very good UK seller (use discount code ECF10 for 10% off) is vape escape. ask at check pout for the atties & carts to be replaced with cartomisers (I believe you will get 10 crtos by doing so) -

The Riva 1100 Deluxe Kit £34.95 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Riva 1100 Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

You will need some e-liquid as well & the above sellers Grizwald juices are excellent. But here is a list of other good UK sellers you can check out -

OH
a strong hit on the back of my throat

You must be partial to igetcha69's reviews :p

I wanted to say welcome to the ECF, and happy vapes!

Is this your very first setup? How much do you smoke on the average?

Anyway, I know I'm going to get jumped on by a lot of people here for saying this, but if you're looking for good throat hit and a no leaking, ever, then those two should not be your top choices...

I agree that, if after doing your research, you are opting for something like that, then an Ego-style is indeed one of the best possible options. However, the atty-tank system, while very satisfying for many, it is a pain in the behind for just as many, and my humble opinion is that it's a risky first try at vaping.

I'd go with an Ego-style - look into something like KGO and E-Power for a better throat hit and performance. And I'd get a couple of boxes of low resistance (2.0 Ohm) cartomizers. A cartomizer is probably the best compromise between ease of use and satisfying vape, and the Boge 2.0 Ohm ones are probably the most popular cartos out there for a reason. They are consistent and reliable.

If you know throat hit is extremely important for you (have you ever vaped at all, on anything?) then you might want to take a deep breath and read around about higher voltage / variable voltage vaping. But if you don't really know, then I think a true 3.7V with a low resistance carto is the way to go for starters.

Take a look at the stickies around, and feel free to ask whatever you want. Others will come with other opinions, and some of them will probably make a lot of sense as well. Expect to need a little patience, and keep asking if there is anything that you don't really grasp - it can become really confusing really fast in the beginning.

ETA: if you get any Ego-style, including KGO or E-Power, you can then chose to try tank-atty at any time afterwards, either the "C" or any other.

I started with the Ego C but found that the leaking tanks were a mighty pain in the ..... I've since gone with a solidly built Lava tube VV mod. (knight Rider) here in Canada. That with a Smoktech 4ml Tank V2 Dual Coil Cartomizer, pic here so you can see what that heck that is. Smoktech 4ml Tank V2 Dual Coil Cartomizer Clear With Drip Tip $7.95 I've found this set up to be perfect for me anyway.

Dim.
