Well I just ordered an eGO cig. from a website based on this sites rating of them. Said the eGO was the top choice so I went and googled it. Gave me a website that showed 510s and the eGO with eliquid. Then I seen another site with all the same models called Joytech but they were different.

The site I ordered from ships from China!!! now I am worried! I believe now I ordered from the wrong maker.

It looks as though there should be a clarification or maybe a link to each of the lists "manufacturers"

Anyone order from this site before? EGO E-Cigarette | e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes Ultd.™

So far I found three sites all selling a 510 and eGo. Two look to be the same (Joytech and Joye) the other looks different.

Any clarification would be helpful....thnx in advance.

Lastly, are there any brand made in the USA or atleast not in China?

thnx again.

There are no joyetech eGos or other ego "clones" made in America.

Joyetech was the original eGo. A million other companies make it, or something very similar, as well. Virtually any e-cig website in the country sells the Joye eGo or one of the clones.
Most aren't much more expensive than that Chinese site.

Some people will argue that only the genuine Joye or Joyetech is to be trusted.
I don't buy it. The SLB kGo is an eGo knockoff and it's better than the original ego in some ways.

The fact is, some of the knockoffs are better, some are worse, most are just about the same.
With the manufacturing practices in China, they could be made in the same factory on the same production line and the only difference is the label.
Also, Joyetech licenses it's technology and sells its parts to other manufacturers, some of which you've never heard of.

If you want a quality, American made, e-cig, you aren't going to get it at Chinese prices.
I've never ordered from that site, but I've never heard anything bad about them either.
The one you ordered is almost certainly a knockoff, but it's pretty cheap and it probably won't make much difference anyway.

BTW, if you want that style of e-cig, you'd have been much better off to have paid a couple bucks more and gotten a kGo like this one. It's not a Joye either, but it's better.

Edit: Sorry. that was a link to my boat. Try this one: KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

Joyetech is the manufacturer of the real eGo line of products, but there is an ever growing list of knockoffs. The Riva/Kgo bats are every bit the quality of Joyetech, and there are just as many that like the unregulated 3.7v as there are that like the regulated 3.4v of the Joyetech eGo.
Kinda shot yourself in the foot ordering from China, almost every vendor in the US has them.

    edit:
and what's wrong with a link to your boat!

Be wary of any vendor that does not list the mah of the batteries...100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge. I also recommend the Kgo. A very popular and solid PV.

I think I have Joye 510's.. Joye tech could b the same tho I may b wrong. The only issue w them is u only get about 1-2hours out of them if u use them alot so eGo is my fav

Yeah, I wanna see the boat too!

Nothing spectacular, just 21' for coastal cruising and camping. Self steering and good for single handed island hopping. It's built like a tank though. My biggest fear is running aground and this one will sail in upwind in 8" of water and downwind in 4".

Sweet. I want a bird, but I hear they are a LOT of work. So for now I'm sticking with dogs.
If you ever sail on over this way, let me know and I'll buy you a beer or two.
    :)

That might be a tough trip. I don't think I can carry enough beer and ice. I did take it out for a couple of 10 day non-stop cruises though. The bird stayed home. She loved to sail, but not that much I think.

Yeah, most parrots are a lot of work. That particular species, a Myers, is a lot less work than most. And such a sweetheart she was. Never gave me one day of trouble and was like putty in my hands. She's gone now. I cried for a week. The one I have now is similar, but she's more boisterous and a clown. A real handful sometimes.

There was a guy who did a bi-section of the country in that same boat. He started in Florida, sailed across the Gulf to the mouth of the Mississippi, up the Mississipi to and took a right. Then he came out in coastal New England somewhere and sailed the Atlantic all the way down the East coast, around the tip of Florida and back up to NW Florida where he started. In short, he was a nut.

Then, he got cocky and started talking about Florida to Hawaii via the Panama Canal. Haven't heard from him since. Probably lost at sea.

There are a lot of sites that sell genuine joytech stuff in America. If you want to save a couple of bucks and take the risk and extra time shipping from overseas then you should do it but most of the stuff from america is around the same price and is the same or better quality. I would look to find if you have any local shops in your area (NOT in the mall) and check out their prices, without the shipping costs they can be around the same as well, the 510's are smaller and do not have as good of a battery life as some thing like the ego although I have seen that they do have more options for mods

Better to start a fresh thread and get opinions IMO.

I am extremely interested in the SLB kGO, but I want to know, can you use atomizers and tanks on these? I am a total newbie, recently quit cigarettes and and have been using the Mistic kit from walmart. It seems great, but I can tell I will need something more very soon... any tips?

If you want a real ego and want to know who sells them Google joyetech . That's what I did after I had ordered some from a USA site. When they came they were not what it had said on site, they were knockoffs. So you really have to do your research about the sites your ordering from. Hope it works out for you.

I am trying to decide myself between ego and kgo ugh
I would really never recommend the Ego.
If you want an Ego-like device then get one that is not regulated to 3.4 volts.

My current recommendations are the Ego Twist and the Kgo.
I can also feel comfortable recommending the Riva SE and the Volt X2 models.

So if you decide on an Ego then get the Twist, and if not, then don't get an Ego.
    :)
