I've finished my organic cotton that comes with the subtank mini. After speaking with my local vape shop vendor, he told me uses organic cotton balls sold in a big bag and can be found at an organic grocery store. I'm not sure what country it's from but I'm thinking about buying this cotton or the sandwiched squared organic Japanese cotton that can be bought on Amazon. Which cotton would you recommend for wicking coils? Do they both work the same or is one better than the other? Where else can I buy organic cotton?

Tried them all... and we favor the squared organic Japanese cotton (Shiseido) as opposed to the cotton balls. The squared Japanese cotton is unique in that it has all the fibers running parallel to each other, which IMO aids greatly in wicking. The square sheets also take the guess-work out of choosing the right amount of cotton. Just divide the sheet into 2 and cut a strip slightly bigger than your coil(s). I cut a 3.5mm - 4mm strip of cotton for a 2.5mm coil with flavorful, cloudy results.. . :)

The Shiseido is very similar to KoGenDo, but is considerably more affordable and is readily available @ Sephora stores in major Canadian malls for $11 for 165 sheets. One sheet lasts us a full month! So if you share the package of 165 sheets with another vaper, you will each have enough for 14 years!

edit > The Shiseido also has a longer durability than cotton balls. We are getting 15 mls per wick in our Kayfuns, as opposed to 9-10 mls with cotton balls.

I can't tolerate makeup on my face, so I don't frequent cosmetic counters. I think maybe one or two Halloween parties, I dabbed a bit on as part of my costume, but that's been about the only times in 50 years on this earth. I walked up to the Macy's counter a few weeks ago and asked the lady for a package of the Shiseido. She commented that they've been selling a lot, and they had to educate some of their staff as to why so much was flying off the shelves!

GO VAPING!!!!

It don't surprise Me :) The organic cotton is so clean tasting, and the sheets is what really makes it the best. You can cut a strip and get the perfect size wick every time. Not as easy to get the perfect amount with cotton balls or Rayon.

I was told the same rhing, the lady behind the counter said people were buying cases of it

What would be a good cotton for cloudss chasing ?

Any of the mentioned. Either way, you don't want to burn your wick.
But it has to have good capilarity action, and some say, rayon can deliver better than KGD. Others say there is no difference. And last, people use both and more and can blow clouds.
