Which is Which?

I bought some Boge 510 cartos a while back - 2 packs of "LR" and 1 pack of "SR". Are the ones with the brass threads the LR's? I've got them mixed together and don't know what's what. Thanks!

A multimeter is your best friend ;-) This will be the easiest way to check them. One probe goes on the center post, the other on the threads.

I can't comment on the physical differences, mine are identical to each other (silver threads on both SR and LR). I label them with a sharpie so I know which is which in my stash of new cartos, I just write an "L" or "S" on the silicone cover so when I pull a new one out of the box I know which it is

At this point the only way to really tell is to check the resistance of them. I keep them seperated and also mark them once removed from their box.

Some brands of LR's used to be marked on the centerpost contact with a teeny tiny little "LR" stamped into the metal. I don't know if they still do it but it's worth looking if you don't have a multimeter. It'll take a magnifying glass to see it if it's there.
