Hey guys

I'm Looking to buy my first Mech mod. I originally wanted a Paps but cant find them anywhere. I have narrowed it down to either the Atom or the Sentinel V3/M16 by Grand Vapor. I would like the have the best Mech for under $200. Which one would you choose and why. I'm primarily a rba and Carto tank guy.

a big thanks to all that chime in.

Soapbox: there is a wealth of mech "mods" devices out there now... all similar yet all somewhat have their own story too.

we know what makes a good up to date mech now: materials for conductivity, adjustable top pos. contacts/connector, button switch designs... its all about knowing the differences and which details are best for you.

some Chinese clones are starting to catch on with what works... and if you can make a good RBA coil, even some so so clones are functional.

"Best" is going to run $200 with shipping ... easy.

re: contact materials; some will need upkeep; cleaning and different metals require different cleaning methods... the SuperT Simplicity has a coating that doesn't need cleaning and is conductive (to whats under it)... that said, if you know your metal, they're all fairly easy to clean.

off soapbox...:)

The first "unregulated" PV that I bought was a Silver Bullet (it has a wired switch), and the reason I chose it is because I wanted a backup PV that if necessary I could use it for a hammer, and it would still vape. Haven't needed to use it for a hammer yet, but two+ years later it still vapes like a champ.

The last mechanical I bought, I chose because I wanted a (non telescope) tube that used the same battery that I use in my Provari and my Reo. So I chose the Zen-2 DX-490 ($110) knowing full well when I bought it that I would be spending a little time in the think tank with a screwdriver getting it to perform the way I wanted it to.

My point is that the first step in the process is determining what it is that you are trying to accomplish by getting a new mod.

EHPro EA Mod clone is a solid performer and retails around $70 I am guessing. Got mine in a co-op for about $38 and worth every penny!

P.S.: Spending hundreds won't guarantee you the best only the most expensive :D

It's worth the money to me. Plus they don't put gremlins in the real deals.

I'm saving up for one myself at the moment. The Poldiac is where I'm pretty sure I want to go I'm just hesitant about the whole pants and shirt thing. Seems to me like the metal sleeves would slide around and feel uncomfortable when pushing the button.
Since the Caravela seems to be out of reach for a while, Poldiac looks to be a close second. The Simplicity+ looks really nice too but I've got a thing for brass. I'm hoping to see a Poldi @ Vapecon in the flesh and will go from there.
I just can't get into the clones personally
