Yah, "mod" originated as "modified" but has since become synonymous with the battery and electronics (if applicable) of PVs.

So, Caravelas, eVics, Vamos, and mechanical clones, etc., are all referred to as "mods".

MOD start when no apv were here yet, people strart to MODified flashlights and other stuff for vaping with bigger batteries that last all day long. Then Factory made APV came out and the word MOD went standar for averithing with replacable battery.

MOD is a very comon term in all kind of hobbies, race cars, radio control, sports etc when people buy some new gear and want to MOD it (modify)
