Just started playing around with an IGO-L and wrapping my own coils. It's been YEARS since I played with a multimeter. Looking at picking up a $24 analog from the Radio Shack across the street from work.

So here's my question: Dealing with ohms down in the 1.8, .9, etc like we get on our coils, do I need to worry about 15 rangs, 20 range, all that stuff?

Also where in the heck would you set the "scaling" for a coherent ohms reading that tracks to the standard vaping ohms we're used to 1.8, 2.5 etc.

Hope my question makes sense.

Thanks. In. Advance.

I have this $20 DMM from Home Depot, set it to 200 on the ohm setting. It will read out down to 0.1 +/- whatever your leads are holding resistance. Touch leads together, then subtract that number from whatever it says your coil is reading at. For instance my leads show 0.01 so that means on a 1.0 ohm coil it could be 0.9 to 1.1~
