So I started vaping 3 weeks ago finally got off the stinkies. I currently own an evic supreme with an aerotank mega and nautilus mini. I want to start easing my way into rebuilds and want a second mod. I have my heart set between like 3 right now I just don't know what I want.

Provari mini
Vaporshark dna 30
Authentic Hana Modz

My local b&m is having an August special on Hana's right now for $199

What should I do I'm torn.

For rebuilding I would go with the Hana due to the fact it takes a 18650, bigger battery than the Vaporshark and has more power available than the Provari.

You'll find that many RBAs need to be pushed at higher wattage than the off the shelf attys like the Aerotank to get the best performance, especially if you're going to experiment with dual or quad coils.

The Provari is an awesome mod and it's 15w limit will be fine for things like the Kayfun and maybe Magma in single coil mode but most RBAs will need to be pushed a little higher and when doing so battery life is going to be reduced. I'd go with a minimum of a 18650 sized battery mod which counts the VaporShark out although they are coming out with a RDNA if it's not out already that will use a 18650.

Also get the right battery that can handle the load like the Sony VTC4 or VTC5.

Good Luck

On average about how long will the Hana last with like a nautilus on top? I currently get almost two days out of my eVic supreme which I believe utilizes that same sony VCT 4/5 battery. Also do you know the difference in the mini version Hana and the regular?

The Vaporshark RDNA has a replaceable 18650 and is smaller than the Hana. The Provari mini has 15 watts compared to the other two you mentioned. If you use sharkweek code by this Sunday it is 15% off. Congrats on your new vaping journey.

What's the difference in the vaporshark rDNA and just the regular vaporshark DNA 30 also what would the battery life be like compared between this and a hana? Also the difference in the regular and mini hana?

Ok so I'm really liking the vapor shark thinking about ordering the only thing that sucks is according to there site they won't ship until 8/21 ? I hate waiting for things in the mail. What would you guys recommend the rDNA or the regular DNA?

With using rba's the rDNA by far. I've got the regular Vaporhark and really like it. If you're looking for small and stealthy nothing matches it but it's battery life won't compare, especially if you're using a low ohm or dual coil build. Plus it using an onboard battery if you're out and it needs charging you'll need to be near a usb power source rather than just swapping in a fresh 18650.

They both use the same chip as do the Hanas and any other authentic DNA30 mod out.

I would recommend the RDNA. It is always a nice thing to be able to swap your own battery. You can charge with a USB adaptor/charger in your car or a AC power outlet charger, but when I am out and about I like carry two spare batteries in a plastic battery case to swap out a fresh battery whenever I want. Also, when you need fresh batteries for your device you just go buy some instead of having to ship it in for a battery swap. Also, if you ever want to run a dripper at 25-30 watts you can go through a charge faster, and it is nice to just slap in a fresh battery.

I'll try to clear it up a little, the Hana Mini and the Regular Vaporshark use a Lithium Polymer battery pack which is not user replaceable and has a somewhat smaller capacity and amp rating.

The Vaporshark rDNA and Regular Hana use a 18650 which can be user replaced.

With both minis not having user replaceable batteries you'll need to have a USB source available when it needs charging.

With the 2 larger 18650 mods you'll be able to swap the battery out when it needs charging and also have the the option to charge via USB.

As far as comparing the 2 minis and 2 regular size they all use the same chip so performance should be the same. Battery life will be less on both minis though. As said above the VS rDNA is slightly smaller than the Regular Hana and the Regular VS is slightly smaller than the Hana Mini.

Comparing the 2 minis and the 2 18650 full size would be more of a preference thing. All 4 should perform the same. Both minis should have about the same battery life to each other as should both full size.

At this point I'm going to rule the hana out of the question I like what vaporshark has to offer. I am still torn between the rDNA and regular DNA I like how you can swap batteries but battery life on the regular DNA has some pretty rave reviews plus it's a tad smaller. I guess if it was between the two which would guys pick? Also in terms of build quality the vapor shark seems a little better than the hana IMO however I could be wrong. I watched Phil's video and the only thing I don't like was he said something about button rattle with the rDNA.

as far as battery performance between the rDNA with the supplied battery and the regular DNA battery would they be about average?

Battery life is going to be different for everyone so it's hard to give comparisons but guesstimating at the same ohms, I'm usually around 1.2 ohm on my single coil builds and around 14 watts. I get around 5ish hours on my regular Vaporshark, If I had to guesstimate I would say I get around 8-9ish hours using a Sony VTC4...which comes with the rDNA on my DNA30 mods using the same build and power level.

Same here, smaller is nice but it does limit you. If it was a secondary device I'd say go for it, great stealth device for evenings out or a few hours running errands but as a primary device the larger battery and ability to carry a spare and switch out rather than look for a USB port makes for less headaches and rDNA is still small for what your getting.

So you would take an rDNA over a hana box correct?

Absolutely. If the point you're struggling with between the VS DNA and rDNA is the size (preferring smaller), then deciding between the Hana and rDNA should be easy. Putting price aside (the rDNA being cheaper), the rDNA is noticeably smaller than the Hana, with all the same capabilities and battery life (same battery and same chip). The rDNA is about midway in size between the regular Hana and the mini Hana.

And the rDNA is cheaper.

I think shark week ends today.

That would be preference, compare the measurements, buttons, screen placement, reviews on support and anything else that might matter to you then decide. They both have the same chip and use the same battery so you can't go wrong either way.
