Smok tfv4 leaking help!!!
Ive had leaks using the RCA on the TFV4 Mini, but for the most part (i havent taken it apart to play) ive just pulled a vacuum as i open the airflow after filling and i may get a few drops but thats it
When i finally take it apart to recoil ill check the orings and try the screw into chimney first ratehr than the base trick
Thank you, for the help. Ill see if i can fix it
Update on the TFV4 leaking issue:
Ive just pulled my TFV4 Mini tank apart to see what of any damage ive done to the coil or wick in a week and a half of use of the prefitted clapton, and nada on that front, its still pristine, which surprised me.
While i had it apart i decided to try one of the suggested fixes for leaking and when i put it back together i screwed the build deck into the chimney first, then the bottom section - which feels a bit wrong as you have to get the bottom section to pop in under the seals a tad before you can screw it in (onto the coil/build deck). Then i closed the airflow, opened the top cap and filled it, pulled a vacuum as i reopened the airflow, and nothing happened, no leak.
Its been sitting there for 10 minutes now with the airflow open (i normally never leave the airflow open if the tanks not in use), and theres no sign of
juice leaking at all. Should mention that when i pulled the RCA deck out of the base i noticed a bit of juice in the reservoir below the build deck...when this fills the juice comes out the airflow holes, remains to be seen whether its bypassing the chimney oring or the base one...i sopped that up with tissue before i reassembled. So so far, and ill have to wait until after a seocnd refill to confirm, but it looks like the screw the coil/build deck into the chinmey first, rather than the base works equally well or better at preventing leaks.
Kind of reminds me of my Lemo 1, either you got a gap in the join of the upper and lower chimney sections, or you got a gap at the chimney top where the oring was and it would leak...lol, i made it through 7 months with that to fiddle with every coil/wick change.
Smok - They should probably have used deeper/thicker o rings, and i wish they werent clear, its harder to see if theyre faulty/scored/not seated properly
Hopefully youre having better luck at your end too
Despite the small amount of leakage, usually directly and only after filling, im loving the little bugger
