I'd like to get into DIY soon...im still new but i think im going to work on sweet and sour / Rich creamy coffee caramel types....i assume thats just getting fruit and coffe flavors and adding sweet

The other thing i want to play with is massive throat hit...which part of the mixture is responsible for that? Is it the blend of vg/pg....is it just the vg or the pg....does it make a difference which brand you get? If so...which hit hard and sharp and dry?

I thought it was the NIc level, but ive recently got my hands on 24 and 26 mg e liquid and i've experienced better TH from lower levels before...so im assuming that is only a small part of the equation...more a throat hit like smoking an American Spirit analog (if anyone still remembers what that was like)

thanks all.:blink::glare::facepalm::laugh:

I'm not tellin'
More PG than VG gives me more TH. I also notice that a lot of fruit flavors tend to have more TH than bakery type flavors. But when I really want that punch in the back of my throat I go with my mint vapes, peppermint is my fav. And the great thing with mint is that you get a nice cooling on the exhale too. Too many flavs leave an aftertaste and mint helps that. I took the popular peppermint mocha which was 60 mint choc chip and 40 keoke coffe and changed it to 50 mint choc chip (lorann) 25 keoke (lorann) and 25 peppermint (TFA) and it gives me a decent TH for a mix of flavs and you might like it if you are into coffee types. I vape on very high volts though so YMMV

I don't know much about the different brands of nic and PG/VG though cause I have stuck with just 1 till recently when I switched to another and they both seem about the same to me.

TH is primarily from the nic (and I believe that the higher mg does usually mean more TH), but the % of VG you use affects it as well. The higher the VG % the smoother the TH is, which is why I use 60% VG. Some brands have more of the peppery TH than others too, though for the life of me I can't remember which ones. I order from RTS and don't get that huge pepper hit, but there is definitely still TH at 8mg (I'm a light vaper :p). If VG makes the TH too smooth for you, you can try making 100% PG juice. I personally think cinnamon adds to TH too, but that may just be me, I don't like cinnamon candy anyway :p

Nic is primary, but sour, mint, black pepper, capsicum and keeping things that reduce TH down like VG, bread-y flavors, custard notes out will also help.

I googled capsicum after not finding that flavor offered by the flavor suppliers I know of. Can you please share where I can order this capsicum and black pepper flavor?

Many people make their own tinctures by soaking peppers in pg or alcohol.
Here is an example of extreme tincturing :)

I got the black pepper from Pure Vapes.

I do not remember seeing the juice from hot peppers at a vendor store, but health food stores generally have it. (Careful with this stuff.)
