This one just came out, and it's looking like a real contender. kayfun build style, but finally addressed the lack of serious airflow.

Eleaf LEMO Pyrex Rebuildable Tank Atomizer

I received my SS Lemo today, and it lives up to the hype. Got mine from "Vaper Company" in CA for $34.

Air flow is fantastic on it. In fact, it has a more open draw then my Fogger V4, which I didn't even expect. I actually had to dial it down a bit for my taste. Honestly, one of the best vape gear purchases I've made. Vapes better then my Expromizer which is now sulking in the corner. ;)

My first RTA was an EHPro Kayfun Lite+, in black. It's easy to rebuild and chucks the flavour. The only thing I don't like about it is having to empty the tank when re-building or changing out the wick. I guess I've been spoiled by my Protank II.

Thinking about picking up the EHpro version....is it worth it? I have the Fogger v4.1 now and having a lot of issues with it flooding which I think is due to how I'm filling it for the first time.

No buyer's remorse here. Other than having to empty the tank for maintenance, that's the only issue I have with it. But that's the nature of the beast w/ any Kayfun or the Russian. I typically swap out my PTII with the Kayfun when I step outside to take a vape break at work. I "stealth" vape at my desk with the PTII. Both of those devices are used on a KSD DNA30. IMHO, I don't think you can go wrong with the EHPro Kayfun. I can't speak for the other KF clones out there because I'm not familiar with them.

A mate of mine picked up a Fogger v4 and he's had problems with his as well. So much so that he's cleaned it up, put it back in the box and it's gathering dust. Or, as one VaPreis put it... "sulking in the corner". One of these days he'll take another swing at it.

My gripe with the Fogger V4 after numerous builds and different wicking methods, is that it has muted flavor. I don't get dry hits, it doesn't flood, and I can chain vape it. However, the flavor when compared to a Kayfun/Aqua/Taifun/Expromizer, etc, etc, is muted. It's there. It's just not nearly as sharp as comparable atomizers.

Therefore, it is not sulking in the corner with my Expromizer (which I still think is great, it's just not the Lemo) It's boxed up waiting to be given to someone for free who doesn't like the taste of their e-liquid.

I'm done with it.

Got my Fogger v4.1 today!! Nailed the build on my first try! Well, sort of. The kanthal got all wonky when I tried to tighten the screws the first time,,,I had to rewrap some new wire. But first wicking attempt was a total success. No dry hits, no flooding or leaking, just awesome, peachy 0.7 ohm vaping goodness. :D busted my modular Paps clone down into 350 mode and I'm rocking it like this:

This is the CUTEST mod ever now! :D lol

My Pontus has full on replaced my Kayfuns, but I admit I haven't tried a Lemo or an Orchid. Maybe one of my buddies will pick one up so I can try it, because right now I'm thinking of buying another Pontus or three and giving all my Kayfuns away. The only thing I could even compare it to is a Reo with a good RDA on top. That could be their tag line, "Pontus, like a Reo, only $30 and not ugly." :) Well, ok, the ugly part is just personal preference...

Looking good! Next time shoot a pic of the build :)

I will. I should have just taken a pic of the wick & coils when I switched juices. But that was right before I read that, lol. Oh well. When I do a new build I'll post it here. But that might be a couple days because I'm really liking this one. It's 28g, 9 wraps around a.... 2.2mm screwdriver? I think it's 2.2 I'm not looking at it right now. But yeah 0.7 ohms is a good fit for this RTA.

Reos are actually growing on me! Lol yeah but I know what you mean.

The Pontus,,that's the one where it drips for you by pressing down the drip tip, right? Those look cool. So it's a nice RTA?

Like I said, it has replaced all my other tanks. On their best days they don't come close. It is a tobh deck with a juice feed on top, so it basically vapes like a tobh quality wise and while there are some RDAs I like better I don't think any other tank comes close. I actually think it performs a bit better flavor wise than a stock tobh because of the smaller chamber. Airflow isn't quite up to my drippers but great compared to any non RDA setup I've tried. A reo has an advantage of not staying flooded if you over squonk, but that's honestly it. Using a Pontus is a lot like using a Reo with a bottom fed tobh on top. If you don't want to spend Reo type of money or if like me you just can't stand box mods, you can try a Pontus for $30 from fluidvapes.com Heck, it would work as well on one of the new 30+ watt box mods as an RDA but with all that sweet extra mobility and convenience.

Do you even squonk, bro?

Okay, I'm convinced. Just ordered two from fluidvapes. Thanks for the head's up. Most other vendors, if they even have them in stock, want $40-$50 for the Pontus.

It's gonna be a bit before I can try one out, but it's definitely on my list. I just recently bought four new batteries (two VTC5's and two 10.5 amp 18350's), a mech mod, a crappy RDA that I'm replacing with the Mutation X that is making its way to me via USPS right now (I'm super excited for that!), and I'm about to be buying a DNA30. I also am planning on building my own OKR T10 box mod by the end of the year.... That's quite a bit, for me. But as soon as all that's out of the way, I'll be getting a Pontus for sure, lol!

Oh, and plus several different flavors of e-juice recently, but that's not anything out of the ordinary. If you vape, you're gonna need some e-juice to put in the thing! Whether you buy premade or DIY, that's an ever present expense. Even with buying new gear and the start up costs over the last few months, I don't feel like I've spent any more than I would have paying $8 every single day for Newports.
