If you're using temperature control you MUST use a wire made for temp control like Nickel, Titanium, or Stainless. You should also bookmark this page if you decide to make your own coils (look on you tube for videos on how) as it is very easy and cheap :Coil wrapping (Kanthal example)

You can change the wire TYPE, size, diameter, target resistance and the calculator will tell you what you need to do.

Thanks guys I can buy pre-coiled Nickel & Kanthal would that be better than ni200 alone? What benefits would it give and can Nickel & Kanthal wrapped still be used with temp control?
DO NOT mix wire types for Temp Control builds. Period.
All Nickel.
All Titanium.
All Stainless Steel.
Nary the twain shall meet.
Clear?

Very clear, thanks for the help man!
No worries. :) Now, here's the Why:
Temp Control relies on a known Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) for the type of wire. That is, each wire type changes resistance along a known curve as its temperature changes. The mod will read the resistance change as power is applied to calculate the temperature of the coil based on the TCR. If you mix wires in a build, then set the mod to one type of wire TCR, you have a mismatch of resistance curves and you will not get the desired temp control result. This can be particularly bad if nickel is in the mix as it breaks down and gives off bad stuff when it is overheated.

Hey guys I'm looking to buy some ni200 0.05ohm pre-coiled wire for my Uwell Crown RBA and was wondering if pure nickel or Kanthal A1 wire would be best?

Also if I do decide to go with the kanthal A 1 pre-coiled wire do I still use nickel setting on my Reuleaux RX200?

Thanks for the help!

Use nickel only in TC.
use kanthal only in power mode.

In case it isn't clear, "pure nickel" and "Ni200" are the same thing. Kanthal is something different, it's an iron-chromium-aluminum alloy (FeCrAl).
