Has anyone else stole goodies from their other hobbies, or husbands in my case to set up for vaping! With all the excitement around twisted coils, I had an epiphany. Instead of using a drill to do twisted coils I stole his Whip Finisher from his fly tying (fly fishing) table and it works perfect!!! They are 6-8 bucks from cabellas or bass pro. It is a tool used to tie off a knot when tying flies, but it makes twisted coils perfectly. There is 1 video I have seen, but I use it just a little differently than that person as I have my wire in the bend closest to the handle. No drill required, takes literally seconds to do. And it is small to boot. He had all kind of goodies on that table that I now have, lighted magnifying stand, tweezers, bodkins (also fly tying tool) forceps......ssshhhhh don't tell him! Take a look, give it a try, tell me what you think. I have even done twisted, twisted with 30 gage.........just having too much fun playing around.

Also what works well too and is about 12 bucks is lockwire (safety wire) pliers. They are designed specifically to twist 2 wires together and are alot easier to use in my opinion than a drill as they were built specifically to twist wire to more precision and repeat ability. Simply loop some kanthal around a drill bit or anything really, clamp the wire ends into the pliers and pull. Maybe someone will play with twists per inch to see if that has any effect on the vaping experience.
