This sounds so ridiculous that I hesitate to bring it up. I recently received an order of white blank cartos instead of my usual black, and I got them from a vendor I have never tried before, but the vendor seems to be a trusted one here. They are giving my juices a chemical taste that I have never tasted before. I just did a comparison with one brand new black carto and one brand new white carto, and I filled them both with the same exact juice. The black one tasted perfectly fine, and the white one is not good. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm wondering if I need to rinse all the white ones out thoroughly before using them anymore, or if I shouldn't be using them at all.

I've gone through 3 out of a 5-pack of my white ones now and they all have a very odd taste to them. I'm going to give them a good soak and rinse before I use any more of them. They taste almost like the filler material has been treated with something or absorbed a scent from the factory.

Guineahill, I assume it's not a widespread problem or there would have been another post about this before. (btw, every time I see your username, I think of my 3 guinea pigs! :) )

Goonie, I'm not sure how "sitting on the shelf for a while" would cause a chemical taste.
Do you? Or were you just speculating at the expense of those trying to find an answer to this issue?

Really?

JLeigh - Did u wash a carto yet to see if it changed the taste?

Here and back
I have both and honestly, I like the white better. My whites only have a 1 piece insert (mouth end) instead of the white plastic AND the "O" ring seal under that. Much easier to manage. They are thicker as though the two parts were made into one. I hope they aren't old because that means I like old!

I had the same bad taste experience with the blank white cartos I bought. I've only tried one out of the 5 pack though.

btw, the 5 pack was on a blister pack. Not sure if that makes any difference as to origin of the cartos.

I put in 15 drops and got a really bizarre funky taste so I just stopped using it and haven't tried any of the others since.

Mine weren't in a blister pack, and I just tried another one out of a new box....ugh. That same nasty chemical taste. Blech. A thorough rinsing and subsequent uses makes it fade, however.

The vendor I used offered me a refund on the ones I had left, but I would have to ship them back to them. I paid shipping to have them sent to me, and I'm not paying to send them back so I can get a refund on 6 or 7 cartos. It's not worth it.

Where did you get those cartomizers? I bet they are the same that Nhaler carried. The cartz were awful and had that burnt taste but that one piece rubber mouthpiece was great! I tried to order some more but they are out (theirs were green)

Not long ago I bought blister packs of cartomizers (colored and white) and they have a horrible chemical taste to them that I can't take. I only just tried them. I am trying to soak the ones I opened in vodka for a couple days to see if that helps. I will be contacting the vendor about this, though. Real bummer that I just can't use these if the flavor stays; it's sickening.
