Our cat enjoyed her turkey last night -- and afterward succumbed to the turkey coma for a couple hours straight. We've been watching all the stuff on our DVR before it gets replaced by Comcast's new model, so we sat and watched hours of Soap while the cat snoozed, unmoving. :D

Cats past the age of about 2 - 2 1/2 can't digest milk products -- in fact humans are the only animals who evolved the ability to digest milk past infancy. So a taste of cream or cream products or cheese is ok, but if they have more than a taste... well, it comes back up. :D

Soap?

Is that still on in syndication somewhere?
I would love to get that channel.

For a while, a channel called "Logo" was running marathons of it on Saturday afternoons, and my husband recorded every one he could find, to our DVR. Though lately we've been watching it on YouTube, since there are no commercials; some of the YouTube editions are very poor, the vid tape is so old now, but we found a really nice edition of the entire 3rd season that we're almost done with. I'm amazed to find that I have zero recollection of the entire 3rd season, but considering it was '79-'80 and I graduated in '79... I have a pretty good idea what i was doing instead of staying home with the folks watching Soap (I thought "sex&drugs&rock'n'roll" was the PROPER way to live, at that point!).

Got a response from We the People...

A response to your petition on the tobacco deeming regulations:

On November 19, a petition you signed -- asking the Administration to urge the FDA to re-work its tobacco deeming regulations -- reached 100,000 signatures, the threshold for receiving a White House response.

We realize that this is an issue that many people feel passionately about, for a variety of health, safety, and financial reasons. While we cannot comment on the regulations while they are under interagency review with the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), here are some facts about the process so far:

On October 19, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Center for tobacco Products submitted to the OMB a draft of the final “deeming” regulations on tobacco products subject to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended by the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act. The proposed regulation was previously available for public comment.

We look forward to updating you when there is more to report following the release of the final regulations.

Thank you for your participation in the We the People platform -- we’ll talk again soon.

Likewise.

It does mean that there were enough to go to the next step. As always, the steps are very tall. And a CA Congressman has publicly stated that he vapes because it's harm reduction (totally paraphrased on that). Another step.

Keep stepping folks, and there's a chance we'll get somewhere.
Stop stepping and we get nowhere.
