Hi again,
I really love my pit bull smokestick, but I just can't afford to go through 3 cartomizers a day. The customer service is exellent (they really have bend over backwards to help me out, and I was probably THE WORST customer ever). Here's a short intro. I was a chainsmoker, found the smokestick, hated it first, send it back after trying out a manual 510 and re ordered the started kit plus 50 cartomizers. As mentioned I am going through 3 cartomizers a day, the batteries won't hold longer than a few hours, because of my chain vaping. After speaking to Lorraine from Smokestik, she even recommended that I need to move on to a higher power mod. Any ideas what I need? I would like the simplest solution possible. ProVape? Any ideas. Also, is there any way that I could order the whole shebang, already put together with the right battery, atomizer and whatever else I would need. I am new to this, but have become quite obsessed with the whole vaping thing> I prefer it to analogs.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. I can't afford to keep buying cartomizers and the battery is not made for a vape "fiend".
Thanks so much. If you are a "normal" smoker, Smokestik is the best e cigarette around in opinion. I can't get over the fact how nicely I was treated and am allowed to send the starter kit back-again, getting my money back for everything and the left over cartomizers.

Are the cartomizer you have not refillable? I'm sorry, I'm not familiar enough with your main e-cig. I do know the 510 well. What did you not like about the 510? Did you know you can get cartomizers for it and refill them with liquid? My 510 battery would last me maybe 4 hours. My Riva 510 (750 mAh) lasts me an entire day, but I'm not really a chain vaper. If you're looking for cheap, a Riva 510 kit can be had for $30 plus shipping. You'd be able to use any of your existing 510 atomizers, carts, or cartomizers on it.

If you're looking for a bigger mod (box, tube, etc) I'm sure those that have them will chime in.

Is your main issue right now just the price of using 3 cartomizers a day and the battery not lasting very long?

Well, I don't know anything about the vendor, and they're sold out at the moment, but I like the look of this juicebox mod:
3.7V/5V Switchable JuiceBox - 510 [juicebox510] - $54.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

I think you probably want some sort of juice box mod anyway, you just put your bottle of juice inside it and some rechargeable batteries from radio shack and I guess that's it. I don't own one, but it sounds pretty good to me.

I think the only drawback is that as I understand it, when you buy these, you are just buying the mod so you are responsible for getting the batts, charger, juice bottle, whatever else you need (atomizers etc) on your own. Maybe it varies by vendor, I don't know.

If you have cartomizers, you should at least be refilling them. Do you have bottles of ejuice? Just refill those cartomizers...that's one thing. The battery life: I agree with the above post that recommended the Riva from Liberty-flights for $30.00. All the 510 stuff will be interchangeable with it. You can gt cartomizers (510) that fit it, too. OR....get the tank system (atomizer plus tanks) and go that way. Either way, you need your own juice. Cartomizers that are not refillable are the most expensive way you can go. All cartomizers can be refilled, BTW.

It took me six months to find what hardware and what liquids worked, and each person is unique. At first it can be aggravating, but it kind of makes sense because when I smoked that first Marlboro Red at 13, it wasn't long before I tried a menthol, but those darned Kools were just too strong, so on to Newport, Newport Lights, Capri Menthols, then settled into Marlboro Menthol lights. For me vaping started with a dse901, then onto an eGo, and now my mini Saber Touch barely ever leaves my hand. I tried cartridges, didn't really like them, don't like cartomizers, so I finally found that dripping is what works for me. But it took time and money to figure out what I liked, so it's really hard for any of us to be able to give you a firm answer.

Search on youtube for the condom method of refilling cartos, that should help you get more mileage out of them. There are also lots of videos on youtube that show how the different mods work, and you can see the sizes better when someone is holding them, some look great, but they are WAY too big for me. And if you are chain vaping non-stop all day, consider getting a passthrough. It connects directly to your computer, you can vape as long as you're plugged in. The other alternative is to get a kit with a personal charging case, you charge up the case, and then that in turn will charge your spare batteries when you are out and about.

When I first joined this forum I had no idea what most of this stuff was, now I still read about things that befuddle me, but not nearly as much. You will find the perfect combination, it just takes time. This forum is really the best place to start, so you are well on your way to vaping bliss.

Thanks to everybody for your input. well, I send the pit bull back and just got the provape in the mail today. I can't wait to try it out. the batteries are charging right now, guess I have to wait until the light on the charger turns green.
Went with the provape in titanium. Looks fantastic, feels great, now I just have to try it. I was worried about dealing with e juice, however took the plunge and ordered some 24mg vanilla, menthol and regular. I went with 510 cartomizers instead of atomizers (took me a while to figure out how to remove the tip and fill it). Now it's ready to go, just waiting for the batteries to fully charge. If that doesn't work out, I have no idea what else to do.
The Titan I had tried from Wicked was faulty, thus it worked for about 10 minutes until the battery was dead and I mailed it back. I do believe the provape will be the way to go for a heavy smoker such as myself. I did not get the juice I ordered yet, but 2 sample juices. Fruit punch and green apple. Doesn't sound to appealing to me, but the fruit punch has 24mg, so we'll see if that will hit the spot. One quick question. I also ordered a trip tip with it, but it seems somewhat needless, since I am using cartomizers and can just drop the juice direcrely into the cartos. So why what would I use the drip tio for? In case I switch to an atomizer? Last but not least, does anybody on here ownes a provape in titanium? It isn't too heavy, but not as light as I thought it would be. The batteries just turned green, perfect timing, let me give it a try....
Ok, I finally found what I was looking for. This is fantastic.......Not to fond of the fruitpunch, but the vapor and feel is unbelieveble. Love it.

If you get an extender, I think you can use that battery on the eGo-T tank atomizer.

Tanks are simple to fill, and it gives superb vapor. Just a lot less fuss than using cartomizers or atty/cart setups.

I'm sure someone else can jump in with a link to where to get the extenders.

Had you not already gotten the provape, I would have pointed you at the eGo-T's 1000mah battery, lasts me 24+ hours, and I chain vape like mad :) I go through 5-10ml a day, depending on mood.

Are you buying cartos with glued on caps or something? I can get a week out a carto by adding ejuice before it gets dry. Without doing that, a carto does not last as long as a pack of cigs. That is just a popular "name" brand lie on the web.

IMO any place that sells cartos that are designed to be hard to refill and doesn't sell blank cartos isn't a place you should buy from.

If you like cartos, buy a KR808D-1 (like Vapor4Life) or the fat battery model Elegant Easy from Cig Easy. Vapor4Life prefilled cartos can be refilled and you can buy blanks at just about every multibrand normal-price ecig vendor on the web. Get soft-cap standard resistance blanks.

In fact I think PigCig IS KR808D-1 threads - buy your cartos elsewhere and refill them?
First double check and make sure it is KR808D-1 (not the incompatible KR808D-2)
Try prefilled cartos from Vapor4Life.com or the Premium KR808D-1 soft-cap blanks (standard resistance, not LR) from LiteCigUSA.net

If PigCig's batetry is not enough for a vape fiend, check out whatever the highest mah size of Elegant Easy is. Or Go to Ego and Riva 510-based fat battery models. if those are not enough then you need to go to high voltage etc or just sit in front of a passthru all day.

I also have a Provape PV-1 and am loving it. (the fruit punch sample with it, drain cleaner) :)
You have a solid performer for a PV / battery, and can try different atty or cartos to see
what suits you fancy. Each have pros and cons, and different flavor, heat, vapor production,
and one to fit any vaper.

Drip tips are for use with an atty, you might try a 306 LR atty on your next order to use
with the tips. Some swear by dripping, you just have to keep dripping ever 5-6 drags, YMMV

I never drip in a drip tip on a carto. The juice would likely go right down the central air channel instead of into the stuffing around the sides. However the drip tip protects your lips from hot cartos (not the tip of you tongue from hot sputter though, as the tip of my tongue will attest). And it requires no tools to remove drip to to add juice.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I chose the clear one from provape. Just tried it for a bit, unfortunately the drip tip broke (the little black plastic ring came off, should have went with metal). Seems that I finally got a grip on "vaping 101". Am very happy with the provape. Now I just need to get biggest bottle of juice, a metal drip tip and more cartomizers. David from provape was very helpful, I think I will stick with that company. What do you guys think about provape and their products?
