Hello, first post. I have been vaping for 6 months. I first bought the SmokeStik entry level and then moved onto the Smokestik Pitbull - I love love the taste and whole experience. I always just ordered new Cartomizers though the webpage. Recently they stopped selling them in bulk and they are getting really expensive. So, I thought I would look into buying juice and doing my own. I started reading here and have been reading and reading and feel like my college years were not this complex. I would like to keep using the Pitbull for now. But would like to try filling my Cartomizers after they run out. I have watched different videos and some people want you to yank the top off, some say you can just insert it into the battery side of the cartomizer with a syringe. I tried looking at Ejuices, someone said they liked Johnsons Creek, so I went there and was about to order a sampler pack and a syringe and would hope for the best in inserting the liquid via syringe into the battery side of the cartridge about 15 drops. Then I read Johsons Creek could mess up my stuff (but I Believe this was the Atomizer and I don't use that, but use the Cartomizer. So (after all that). Will I be okay to use Johnsons Creek juice and insert it into the battery side of a standard Smokestik Cartomizer that I ordered from them and smoked until it was near empty (but not burned out). Any help would be appreciated.

Somewhere out there
Hi have been filling my used carto's for months now and only had to throw out a few that got burnt, but they will last a loooong time using e juice. I find I am filling mine daily, if they get a bit dry I add some more drops. What is easiest for me is taking the plastic top off either using tweezers or a paper clip and just drop the juice in along the side of carto. I could not be without my e juice :) ha ha It makes cartos last so much longer and really saves on cost. Definitely worth it. I have not tried Johnson e liquids so no help there, but I say go in from the top as you can see the carto filler and see how much is being added. Don't over fill, better to add a little then add more than have it leaky. bnrk

You need to find out what type of battery the Smokestik is (I'll stry to find out for you). Once you do that, order some cartomizers and fill them with your Johnson's Creek juice.

I'm assuming the Smokestick is an automatic battery? If that's the case I wouldn't fill it from the battery end. Get juice i n your battery and it will definitely kill the battery.

I understand that Johnson Creek may may have had issues in the beginning but I have been putting their e juice in carts for two months now and had no more issues with them than with other juice vendors. The key is keeping your cart "moist" at all times. Don't let them burn dry and they will last several days if you keep topping them off and depending on how heavy you use them.

I know Smokestik Hendu is RN4081 (blank cartos available at Vaporkings.com and Goodprophets.com). Do Hendu and Bulldog use the same cartomizers at Smokestik?

I don't know what the Bullldog is but it may also be RN4081. Call the 7-11's near you and see if they sell ecigs and if so, if they have Njoy Npro aka 2-n-1 cartomizers - you could try those and if they fit it is RN4081. Or you could order some.

Throw out the prefilled cartos. (After they're empty of course)

Get these: Blank Express 510 Cartos (I'm assuming you're using 510's as you didn't specify in your original post and I have no experience with the smokestick)

These are empty cartos that you fill yourself. Just pop the rubber caps off the top, drip about 20 drops in down the side, recap and vape away. It helps to turn the carto a bit as you drip in your juice as well.

Some JC juices are 100% VG and may be thick. In cartomizers on slim ecigs I use thin juices with 20% or less VG.

I buy my juices elsewhere at juice vendors that offer a selection of PG/VG ratios. I use Vaporbomb (they may list VG first), FreedomSMokeUSA's non-specialty non-sample juices (though I do drip a couple of their 50/50 specialties on an atomizer and manual battery), Juicy Vapor, and others. I try to find juices I like in the PG/VG I want that are also clear and don't drop flavoring sediment (flavoring sediment can clog and shorten the life of a carto). I also use a couple of Vapor4Life WOW juices (their cartos are KR808D-1 but they also sell the juices - I like WOWbacco and WOW Vanilla)

I listed some of the places where I get juice in my previous post.

And I don't know if Pitbull is 510. If the battery is female (recessed threads inside) then it is probably either 510 or RN4081. If it uses the Same Smokstik cartos as the Smokstik Hendu then it is RN4081.

Goodprophets.com for 99 cents should have both a 4081 to 510 adapter and a 510 to 4081 adapter in case you need one.

For 510 blank cartos I use Boge 3 ohm aka standard resistance from LiteCigUSA,net, Liberty-Flights.com and elsewhere.

I get most of my juice from Vaper Renu Some people love them some hate them. They offer a lot of options to personalize your juice to the way you want it. I would suggest double or tripple shots on the flavors and the custom blend for the PG/Vg mix. They are also really inexpensive compared to others.

Another I like is Vaporbomb A little more expenisve but they've got some great stuff!

Oh, and if you can take the caps off the prefilled cartos without too much hassle, then I would go ahead and use them. Most prefilleds I've used had the caps glued on so it was a waste of time to try refilling them.

You probably have automatic batteries so you need to be concerned about leaks. Never add juice to a carto when it is on the battery. And always clean it up well and make sure it is not going to leak before you put if back on your battery. When I stick an ecig in my pocket, I put it carto down so if it leaks, my pocket will get the juice, not the battery (and I have manual batteries, many of which are totally sealed on the threaded end).

You could go to goodprophets.com and buy a 99 cent 4081 to 510 adapter. If you get the 510 cartos and you are 4081, use the adapter. if they fit without it, then you are 510.

If you want to try blank 4081 cartos, the Double Deuce ones at Good Prophets seem to be well liked (and you can get the 4081 to 510 adapter there too so try some 510 cartos). And VaporKings.com has more typical blank RN4081 cartos.

On a slim ecig, stick with 2.5 ohms to 3 ohm cartos with 2.5ohm being the warmer end that uses charge up faster (anything lower is LR and meant for fat battery models and mods though I know none that use 4081 threading)

Okay Bill, that was helpful. Throw out the pre-filled. I thought I could maybe open those up and use them, but that is a no-no. I guess I need to be sure the Smokestik Pitbull is a "510" and then I can order blank Cartomizers as you suggested and be good to go.

You could probably top them off. Can you remove the end cap?
