nicotine isn't really harmful, it doesn't cause cancer or heart disease. I believe it is similar to caffeine as to the affects of the body minus the energy boost(elevates heart rate and such) though it is much more addictive. I may be wrong but if I remember correctly that's what I saw. Maybe someone who is less lazy can link the info about that.

Only recently has nicotine been linked to cancer

There are other studies that show its linked to heart disease as well

Isn't this that it sped up the cancer? Nicotine has been found to speed up cell growth.

But I do believe, like marcb, it is no worse than caffeine.

Plus, the studies showing the positive effects on mental issues as a "self-medicating" drug far outweigh the negative (for me anyways)

Hmm I thought there was a recent study that linked nicotine gum to mouth cancer. I would never say that gum or e-cigs are as unhealthy as a cigarette. However, saying nicotine is safe... just feels dishonest.

I think I recall that study as well. There have been some daunting reports regarding the NRT's.

But I totally agree, to say that nicotine is safe, is not right.

Well, the do state one thing I don't agree with: One cartridge equals roughly one pack of cigarettes. I haven't tried every model, but I was under the impression that a 901 cartridge is something like 4 to 7 individual cigarettes, and an 801 maybe twice as many. I do own both models. If their model has a cartridge that equals a whole pack of cigs I WANT ONE!

How long will a cartridge last?

Answer
That depends solely on your usage patterns. Some users will go through 1 or less cartridge a day, while others will go through 2 or even 3 a day. One cartridge is roughly equivalent to 1 pack of traditional tobacco cigarettes.

Same old crap......

I just thought about something. If a cart can hold 15-20 drops, and I don't know if any of them can (mine certainly don't - m401), that would be close to a ml. 36mg liquid is 36mg of nicotine per ml, right?

Aren't cigs like 1-2mg each of absorbed nicotine? Wouldn't the amount of nicotine in the cart be about equal to the nicotine you would absorb from a pack of cigs?

Now even if that's true I still don't agree with the statement. I don't know if any carts are sold with 36mg liquid in them (although I'm sure plenty of people refill them with 36mg:)) and it's misleading as we all know there are no carts that will put out anywhere near 200+ full drags of vapor. All I'm saying is that the nicotine content would be equal, not that a cart equals the act of smoking 20 cigs.
