I just thought about something. If a cart can hold 15-20 drops, and I don't know if any of them can (mine certainly don't - m401), that would be close to a ml. 36mg liquid is 36mg of nicotine per ml, right?

Aren't cigs like 1-2mg each of absorbed nicotine? Wouldn't the amount of nicotine in the cart be about equal to the nicotine you would absorb from a pack of cigs?

Now even if that's true I still don't agree with the statement. I don't know if any carts are sold with 36mg liquid in them (although I'm sure plenty of people refill them with 36mg:)) and it's misleading as we all know there are no carts that will put out anywhere near 200+ full drags of vapor. All I'm saying is that the nicotine content would be equal, not that a cart equals the act of smoking 20 cigs.

The problem with your math is that a cigarette actually contains about 10 times that amount. The 1-1.5mg of nic quoted on the pack is how much your absorb so to be fair you would have to compare the full amounts from each product. Either that you would have to find out how much we absorb with vaping which at this point is hugely controversial.

I was under the impression that we absorbed most of the nicotine we vape and that it was a much more efficient method of transfer than cigs, but I haven't really read too much on the subject so I guess that was a false assumption. If the ratio of nicotine contained to absorbed is the same as cigs then yea, there is no way to make any kind of a claim that 1 cart equals a pack of cigs.

Max, there's recent information that the amount of nicotine absorbed from using ecigs seems to be much less than previously thought by many (although, there have been some of us who always thought it was less than supposed, myself and TBob, among them).

Anyway, the findings and discussion can be found here:

The research must be regarded as preliminary though, and I'm sure there's much to learn still.
