who KICKs or Crowns their Precise devices, and why?

I was just curious how many here use a regulating module on their Precise devices. Just curiosity on my part. While I was waiting for my Crowns to get here I was using my ELA with out a regulating module and its kinda nice, I just have to change out my batteries a bit more often.

Im going to make up a few coils a bit lower to see if maybe going a tad lower, like about 1.8 ish will be better for a longer time than 2.0 for me.

Oh and those who do kick or crown, if I do make my resistance to 1.7 or 1.8 is that going to be okay if I do decide to pop a crown or kick. I like to make up all my wires ahead of time and dont like to have to make some higher and some lower.

You may get a faster response in the crown thread. Though I would say go higher than 2.0 ohms if you are going to use a crown or a kick. I don't use either, only cause I don't like the thought of going click click click click click to get to my setting, and I don't like the kick v1. Kick v2 comes out, I got to try one.

Consistency.

Most juices in my experience have no problem with a gradual decrease in power so have little need for VV/VW, especially with a wrap of 1.5 ohms or under. On the other hand, some juices--there are quite a lot of finicky NETs out there--just taste better in one spot.

So OnTheFidele, you use the kick or the Crown , and on all your Precise devices or just on some? I do find with the NETs that I like it at 8 watts, no higher.

No Precise devices here... 8 watts NETs, though, I relate to. I've found that past this mark, most burn and end up tasting like another type of Crown...

I made a up a new wick and coil at 1.7 and I like it. Nice rich flavour , I think I like going kickless or crowned. Hmmm .

I also decided to try out the crown on my saber and it does not make the buzzing. Odd. Oh well, I might put up the Crown in the classifieds and just use ELA as is.

Right now personally I'm in a spot where I don't need either and don't feel like messing around. Sometimes I just have to relax and vape, something a Precise is made to let you do.

I like that statement snork, I think I am just at that stage where Im really satisfied. I really do like just ELA and a good atty at the right resistance. One less thing to worry about. I think I am going to put the good one up in the classifieds. I will keep the Kick on the Saber and its all good. Im happy, happy , happy, and thats about as excited as I get these days.

The ELA was a match made in Heaven for both the Kick and Crown....

I stopped using the kick.. had the kick (with kick let) on a P+18650
It really was unnecessary, and added to the size of the device,, though was good if i needed it as a weapon

I'll use a kick if I want to get an extra day out of a carto after its coil is gunked and its resistance rises.

Otherwise, I just prefer unregulated.

My kick gets used for the first 15 minutes of a fully charged 18650 panny as they come off the Pila with a slightly elevated voltage & NETs burn. So my Kick dials it back at first and I pull it out once the voltage normalizes.

I never thought to do that! I spun 2 different Ω coils though, and carried 2 atties with me for a while, until I got used to the hotter vape from a fresh battery, lol. But I don't think my kick would play nicely with my .7Ω builds that I've grown accustomed to these days! I'll say this though, .7Ω on an ELA is freaking hot! It's perfect on my Reo, but it burns my throat on a Super-T!

Okay, so its not just a figment of my neurosis. I noticed I had to lower the wattage on ELA, I knew the ELA was "hot"

Snagged one of those kick v2 today. Kinda excited about it. Sure hope it turns out better than v1. Now the battery cut off is 2.7 volts.

I guess my vaping habits have changed and I've learned not to rely on regulating modules or VV/VW devices. I have several VV/VW mods just sitting here collecting dust
