Just curious, how many of you went GG mod/mods and basically got rid of everything..cartos, attys. gennies.etc..etc..
If my Penelope turns out to be as good as I am thinking it will be my gear bag just got a lot lighter and I can spend my time making juice and not trying to get the latest and greatest thing working, and tweaking on it...

Everyone besides bishopheals, I think I already know where he stands..lol

But seriously I would like a quick summary, or long summary of what changed for you when you started using GG gear..even u bishop..

I've been vaping since April 2012 and started out with a gamucci and after a week got fed up and nearly went back to smoking. I tried a bulli atti vivi nova and china dripping atti and then got fed up because nothing was giving me the flavour of a dripping atti without having to constantly drip. Then in May I managed to get two odys and have never looked back. I now have 3 Odysseus 3 Penelope's, 2 ufs and 5 ggts a gg stealth. I had a provari and have divorced her. I tried a few genisis ie the Orion v2 mod and the cobra atomiser but probably down to user error find them very difficult to set up and don't use them at all. Imeos creations have given me a chance to stay analog free and stop smelling like an ashtray. To be honest I am a what some people may call a fanboy but the God honest truth is if I did not manage to get the Odysseus I would probably be smoking tobacco now. I have two Ithakas on order and two more stealths. I don't use or have any other devices other than GG. The other thing which is attractive of the GG line is they carry a lifetime warranty, to me that says these are quality products and they truly are the best devices out there and when you hold one in your hand the build quality really speaks for itself. Lastly the level of customer service that you get from Imeo is unmatched he is always in the forums every day and will always do his best to help you. As Bish says he "Imeo" is Gods gift to the vaping world. Sorry if I went on a bit that's just my 2 cents worth.

Omarr and hufflepuff thank you for that.. I too ordered an Ithaca, and I am just sick and tired of dropping cash on stuff that I have to tweak to get it to work the way it was promised.. user error I guess..

Like you were Omarr if I haven't found something that is reliable and just works. I could very easily go back to analogs, even after a year..

I have just grown weary of having to "hunt and peck" my way through finding something that is stable and reliable for me..

The closest I have come to what I myself need to stay analog free is a Dca with a lr 306.. That's what I always come back too when I want something I know will work..

My thoughts are the GG equipment will take the place of the Dca...and I have less than 24 hours to be in that space..

I've been through Reos, Apex, Gennies, most mechanical mods...Spent well over $3000 on different set-ups. I am a lover of all things mechanical--screw electronics that can fizzle.

That said, the ONLY thing I own now is a GGTS and an ODY. That's it. Nothing else is needed. I've sold/traded everything else. I no longer believe that I need a "backup". Simple, re-buildable, solid devices (i.e. the combo stated above) is all I need. Once I figured out this set-up, I never looked back.

I am glad that I went through the journey--buying $50 atties because they worked amazing (AVAs). Once you have a complete system (stated above) you need little else.

My $.02

LOL I still have 4 hh357 attys that are good, but used. Those suckers were like $25 a pop..makes me sick to tell you the truth, but then if I hadnt of made the journey,I would not be here, right now..

I have a couple of other Greek made silica attys and they are pretty good but they arent Ody or Penelope and lack the GG features and build quality that I've come to love. In my opinion, you get the WHOLE package with Imeo and his devices...and this forum and the wonderful folks in it for that matter.
For these reasons I vape GG almost exclusively with the exception of an occational vape with my other Greek atty. My mods are all GG (except for a provari that is only used to occasional measure the resistance of my coils lol) and that, I know without a doubt, will not change for as long as I am vaping. I just wish I had started here instead of wasting my money on crappy product after crappy product. But hey, at least I have finally found where I belong. Everyone is a little different, but this is it for me. :)

Great question. First of all, I have to say thanks for the Ego type devices because it was with one of these that I discovered vaping and quit smoking. Once I quit, my biggest fear was malfunction while I was traveling. I'm in the mining business and visit some very remote parts of the world. As an engineer, I started to search out for devices that were robust, well made, ergonomic and bullet proof. No thin wires!, no electronic switches, those things fail.
My first good mod was an alpha but that was a 14500 and by the time I found it, LV just wasn't doing it for me. My next good mod was a whole host of Reo's and must admit, they are very well made but bulky and a bit cumbersom for me. I had just by then discovered the wonders of HV so I knew I that was the way I needed to go forward. I hated carto's and dripping was impractical although I could not argue against the flavor of atty's.

Because I like to carry my mods in my front pocket, wedged between the side of the pocket and my cell phone, I discovered that the tube mods worked best for me. That's when I discovered the Provari, a great device, tubular, capable of HV but again, with those darn electronics that I just don't trust when I'm up in Northern Chile at a copper mine or in the Amazon at an Iron mine.

That's was right around the time when I discovered the GG. The first thing that I noticed was that it's a work of art. The second thing was that it's indestructible. The third thing was how adaptable it was to all my batteries. The switch is perfectly positioned and easy to clean and repair although I must say I've never had to repair one. The fourth thing that blew me away was the commitment Imeo had to his product, his customers and the whole vaping community. My first GGTS was an old Aluminum one and when I first got it, I noticed the 510 threads were stripping. My first thought was no sweat, I can fix this. I was going to braze a wall of aluminum on the inside of the thread, chuck it up in a lathe and re-tap, no worries. That's when I emailed Imeo for the first time and asked him what the threads and tolerances were so I could do it to spec. his reply was "torque, my friend, just send Bruce your address and he will send you a new cap immediately, you have a lifetime warranty". The part showed up at my door 7 days later!

That was the point when I thought, I must get to know this product and Imeo better. If I'm going to stay off smokes, I need him and the GG and therefore, need to support him with my business! The next several months were a process of selling off all my mods one by one and using the funds to buy GG product. I can say without blinking that I sold $3-4k in mods and every penny was dedicated to the GG product.

Now, I was still a cartomiser user and the rebuildable concept was just starting. I tried the mesh systems but they were only for LV and I coughed with every puff. I know some people love the Geni systems but it didn't work for me. So, by then, I had managed to score an old Iatty and I can still remember it like it was yesterday. The package came to my office and my secretary dropped the box on my desk. I built my first coil in my office. It looked terrible but it fired up. I filled it and the flavor that came through just amazed me. I remember walking out and telling my secretary that I had to take a long phone call, then I locked myself in my office and vaped myself to the point of nausea!

All my flavors tasked different and all of the sudden, I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for. I felt terrible for all the vapers in the world that tried vaping and quit because they hadn't found the GG.

A few months later, the Ody came out and the Ody, to me is Imeo's single biggest and most important invention and gift to the vaping community. The GGTS, TB, Stealth, they're all nice, beautiful, well made but at the end of the day, they are battery holders. I could duct tape two batteries together with a copper wire coming up the side and deliver voltage to a 510 carto, atty, whatever. Not meaning any disrespect at all towards the GGTS mind you, just stating fact.

The Ody however delivers warm, flavorful, moist vapor like no other device ever has delivered to me. I can honestly say I have stopped searching for vaping devices. I now own 6 GGTS, 6 GGTB, 1 Stealth, 5 Ody's and 2 Penelope's and I'm done. My only other devices are a Provari which I kept in order to measure resistance although I've gotten so handy at making coils I make them by eye. My only other device is an Amboyna Mini Grip made by Brad of Sweetvapes. Brad is a master wood worker and I will never sell that mod. It sits at my place in our conference room (I run a vape friendly company) and that's my "meeting device only"

So, with that, I'm going off to coil another wick!

God Bless and Merry Christmas

I just recently sold off my ProVari. That was my last non-GG mod. Two GGTS, two GGTB, two Penelope, Odysseus and UFS. Stealth, iatty and Ithaka on the way. With CR123 batteries for 6v vaping I have no need for VV. it's either 3.7 or 6v for me. I love building my own coils and customizing my vape that way, rather than pressing a bunch of buttons

I like to try many deferent set ups aswell and there are a few mods out there that performers and look good ...but there is something about the GG that I like ...the button placement for me is very natural and my ufs is great to like its been made from the gods of dripping :) .... I love gadgets and now I love vaping so I must love GG :D

As atomizers now I'm running only my two pennys, I got rid of all cartos, clearomizers and whatever - there's absolutely no match.
Both running on a Provari since my collection lacks a GGTS or similar, works pretty well.
If everything goes fine I'll get a UFS and I see an Ody coming in the near future, if I know a friend of mine well enough. Add Ithaka when it's ready, at some point Achilles... I really don't need something else.
Wonderful throath hit, amazing vapour production and very good flavour rendition, that's it for me.

I started out with an KR808 then an ego, like many others. I used tea bags, blue foam, fluval with coffee stirs. You name it I tried everything to get those damn maga cartridges to wick right. I found the MAP tank at COV, used that for about 6 months. All the while going on COV to order more stuff, I kept looking at the GG line. That August the new iatty was being released. So naturally I had to try it.

I was instantly hooked on GG. I couldn't get the GGTS so I had to keep using the iatty on other pv's. but never stopped using the iatty.
finally when the ody came out I got one of those along with a stealth. I haven't looked back since. I now have 2 GGTS's, 1 stealth, GGTB, 3 Penelopes, 2 Ody's. 2 more GGTB's on order, and an Ithaka on order.

I have tried to see what all the hype about the mesh is, but have not seen what everyone likes about it. I purchased a Zen, then a Cobra. Tried to use them and did not like it. I even tried other rebuildables like the spheroid and the taste just wasn't there. Many times I have been disappointed when buying something and it just doesn't work.

I have just been sticking with my GG stuff and nothing else seems to work the way I want it to. GG always works, when i pick it up to vape it. I have yet to be disappointed when I get a new GG.

Oh man I hear ya... I remember cutting silicone to fit right on the end of a 510 cartridge putting in a straw to keep it in place and vaping with that..

My first day with Penelope was a rough one.. I vaped myself silly, napped for an hour, and woke up with a pounding headache from the nic..

My problem was I just kept hitting the Penelope because I couldn't believe it, so I'm hitting it like every minute or so just to make sure.. Well ill tell ya I'm sold... I only vape 15 mg, going to have to take it down to 10..

This is too awesome...
