I also run the TV in the background usually on Fox News. The forum helps me from getting upset about all the crap going on in our country. This forum is way too addictive. I was already addicted to cigs & switched to ecigs to cure that addiction. Now I'm addicted to this forum! So what do I do now? I think there's a good chance I have an addictive personality.

I still watch tv every waking moment. The only problem is that I am so absorbed by this forum that I don't know what happened on the show.

I was just watching a primetime show on my DVR and the show ended, so I went ahead and deleted it and started another and immediately thought "What show did I just watch?" I really don't even know what show it was, let alone what happened. What was the point of recording it?

I am a news junky, so I always have CNN, MSNBC or BBC news on (hats off to the UK news, one hell of a lot better than our US fluff). I use my computer about 6 six feet from my TV and run into a dilemma. I must reread the forum pages because I was trying to concentrate on the news or I must flip through the channels because I missed something while I was reading a forum page.

I am a s-l-o-w one finger typist, but I have participated in this forum much more than any other forum I belong to. I actually look forward to coming here.

Every since I started on this forum, and more so now with the membership BOOM, I don't have time for "anything" anymore........ Thank God I'm not working right now !!

Hell, I have enough difficulty just "reading" all the posts let alone participating in most of them.

Summer chores around the farm are gonna be a ..... I can tell ya, lol

I generally started watching a lot less TV ever since I got into gaming and computers in general like 10 years ago (my inner dork just laughed at me). But ever since meeting my other half, and having a kid a little over a month ago, i've been watching A LOT more television while we hang out with the little one.

Edit - I am lucky enough to get away with alot of computer time at my job, and I must say.. This forum is the only thing I have been browsing in the past month. I love it! :)

Still yet another one to start would be "How Much is your Housework Suffering Because of this Forum?" Guilty as charged. I haven't been able to teach my 2 mini Schnauzers how to run that vac yet. Must be their small learning curve.

I was just coming to post this!! LMAO! I have gotten nothing done!! I am actually attempting to clean now. I clean a little, then come to the computer. It usually takes me about 3 and a half hours to clean from top to bottom and I am on hour 5 and I am not even half way through the process.
