Hell I was sad when I tried to post a thread in this forum only to find I reached a point where I was no longer able to make one LOL. Took me hours to find the forum and sub forum some 5 threads deep just to ask A question to the correct ppl. I did manage it but I feel like I lost myself in here.

I know! It's like graduating kindergarten and being told you can't come in and play with the Play Doh anymore, even if it's after school. You stand there, licking the glass on the Kindergarten door, looking pathetic, and the older kids laugh at you.

Well, this may be the last word, but as you can see from my post count count, it took me almost six months to get my 5 posts in so I could comment anywhere about anything. The 'rule' kept me from "freely" participating for quite a while...

But while I have occasionally been disallowed the opportunity to get involved, I have to say that with the search function and the voluminous information flow that happens here, I have had all my questions answered without the necessity for saying very much at all.

So, 'no-spam' vs. 'occasional snide remarks from me' - looks like a winnah... :2cool:

Oh, btw OwnedBy - great quote... :p

No, your lack of taking a few minutes to make a post or two here and there kept you from "freely" participating for quite a while. And since you're a Georgian, too... I cut you no slack. :p

It is what it is, folks. It's a tiny inconvenience for some that reaps major benefits for everyone. I hate spam, and I hate being a member of a forum that is inundated with it, so I'm not going to allow spammers to make this an unenjoyable place for our members to be. The current system works, and works well, considering that we get more than just the typical spambots here. It's not going to change, so complaining about it is an exercise in futility. As my friend in the Marines is fond of saying... Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome.

I think everything has been said that needed to be, and since this thread is now pretty much an off-topic playground for the usual suspects, it's time to close it down.
