Well, good news . . . I don't have to contain myself any longer . . . it has arrived!! :w00t:

Thanks Ripple! That came amazingly quick! I was trying not to think about it much because then it would seem like forever, then I get a total surprise today! Getting it prepped now, and looking forward to a really fun weekend with it! (Well, my weekend is actually supposed to suck a bit, but at least this part won't, LOL.)

The VVPV was waiting for me when I got home yesterday but I haven't got a chance to use it yet. I think the battery must be dead because the light just blinked once when I tried to fire it and I got no sizzle. I have it on the charger now but there doesn't seem to be an indicator for charging. How do you know when it's done?
I'm also going to drill out an aluminum drip tip for it because the tip has gotten really loose.

Mike we kinds rearranged Unit one list. Mist was going on vacation so I skipped him and sent it to MX. MX is going to send it to Mist since he will be back by then. After that List 1 will be back in order. We wanted to keep it going and in use so we figured a swap around was best :) Mist will send to Laz after hes done.

OK. Glad I went back through this thread. I'll PM Laz for an address in a few days, or he can PM me if he wishes. :)

Yeah, I realize that now.
Still have one problem. The tip is so loose that there's no air being drawn through the atty. It works great when I tailpipe it but I get nothing with the tip on and the tip pops off when I take my lips off it. I have plenty of drip tips so I'll drill one out in a bit. It needs a more permanent tip. Something with an o-ring.

Yeah that is one of the things in my testing notes. Id like to see it as a mid-tube. Plugs into atty. Our drip tip plugs into it. Would only add a few MM to the overall length. Pretty sure Mike is looking into it. Drilling a drip tip will be perfect for now though. I know thats what Zen did on the other test unit.

That is strange I charged it before shipping it. Ruppy did the same for me so I could use it right out of the box.

I had it quit working once and a few very loving taps by the light fixed it right up :) Think there is a wire getting loose or one of the batts isnt seated just right after all the shipping.

I'm using it now and it's working consistently. It charged about an hour and a half before it went green. Could something be causing the batt to discharge while it's idle? Hmmmm...
I drilled out an aluminum drip tip that snaps snugly in place and will ship the tip with it (after cleaning and alc. soak for hygienic purposes).
My observations so far:
Vapes like a NotCigs VV device!:) (imagine that!). As I expected, the electronics are highly functional without being overly complicated and glitchy.
Only having an original Buzz to compare to I gotta say, I like having a wheel adjustment. (can't wait for my Pro)
In the spirit of full disclosure, I'm not the biggest fan of box-style mods. I find them somewhat cumbersome. I built a few wooden bottom feeders a while back and never really used them for this reason but I realize that there's no other good way to design a feeder.
Constructive criticism:
Button placement could be more comfortable and the button itself seems a bit "pokey" (no offense Pokeygizmo).
I would prefer a horn style switch mounted, perhaps, on the flat side below the charging port. The military grade switch that another mod uses would be one good suggestion. There's a distributer here in the Detroit area that carries those.
Yeah, the plunger needs some work but I'm sure that's already done.
I had to pry up the center post on the 901 connecter to make it contact the 901/510 adapter. A Buzz connecter would be much better than the Chinese one that's on it but, again, I'm sure that that's already the plan.
That's all I have for now. I'll use it a few more days and give a final report.
