Longtime smoker here, got into the ecigs trying to get off the analogs. Started with an EVOD kit, and then a friend of mine let me try his Tesla with a protank 2. I was blown away by how much richer the flavor was. Got the exact same setup for myself and just when you think it doesn't get better you start poking around and learning about rebuildable RDAs and mech mods. Starting an rda build this weekend, still undecided on both Mech mod and rda though,. GREAT SITE!!

heheh you are on the slippery slope to spending! :p Mind you, vaping is a great hobby and I'm now surrounded in tons of high end gear but I still havent spent what i've saved from quitting the ciggies :p

I would also suggest having an ohms checker to test your newly made coils, if you are planning builds over 1ohm then you can use a variable voltage/wattage battery to check your build, but in the long run an ohms meter will be needed.

Good luck with your foray into rebuilding! its great fun and excellent practice (and not too costly) The igo range will do you fine for learning on :)

Oh boy. You've fallen into the deep end just like I did. But what the heck, we're saying off the smokes so congratulations! Just keep reading the forums and you'll figure out what you want. I like regulated DNA type box mods, the Magma RDA is well thought of and both have good clones out there for 1/3 the price. Don't over look the Reo mods either. Research batteries too; there are a lot of fakes out there.

When choosing your first dripper to learn on pay attention to the build deck and the posts. Some are easier to work on than others. Everybody has an opinion on which they like best but have a look at the Helios. The centre/positive post has two slots in it which helps for building dual coils. Many other dual coil drippers have a single centre/positive post and you tie both coils into it. Not hard to learn to do this but having a separate spot for each coil is nice to learn on.

If you're rebuilding on the Tesla, keep the resistance around 2 ohms... you can thank me later!
It will actually fire down to around 1.1 or 1.2 ohms (don't remember exactly)... but it performs much better when it's closer to 2... I have an Orchid V2 on mine and I built those coils to 2.7 ohms total... works like a champ!
