Who's Comin' Out to Cali in Sept for ECC (Electronic Cigarette Convention) at the Anaheim Convention Center?

Wow! This is good to see. I noticed that the rooms at the Hilton are all non smoking. I wonder if they allow vaping?

According to West Coast Vapers Club (the one's hosting the event), the Hilton rooms are vape-friendly!

They want $15 to attend. I don't know if that is the norm. I was under the impression that these things were free for attendees but since I have never been to one I guess I was wrong?

Vapemeets are free. It is my understanding if they are cgarging to attend you should not go , as vendors pay the fees to set up so meet should be free to other attendees. Vaporcon, vapebash, vapestock all free. I suppose more and more people will be starting meets. I would check to see who the vendors are that are going to be there are you paying 15.00 for unknowns new to the biz?

I wish I was going, but this is the same weekend as Vapefest in Las Vegas, and I'll be going to that instead.
I'll just wait for Vapetoberfest in Long Beach in October.

That's the same weekend as the Vegas Vapefest. I'll be in Vegas that month.

Our archery club, back in the Bay Area, coordinates with other clubs in the region to avoid these types of event conflicts. Was this a lack of planning or scheduled intentionally?

Apparently there is some accusations against the Vegas meet and the organization running it. I have heard whispers, but not facts so can't say what the deal is really. If what I heard is correct, this scheduling was intentional.

Know what? My initial reaction when I see these efforts to divide the vaping community is to not support either activity.

Think I'll just stay home that weekend.

I agree. Since I live in Vegas this was a huge kick in the .... to me. I dont care what sort of issues people have with Spikey or IVAQS in general but they are actually causing division in the community and I think its totally bs. If you have a problem: say it.. adress it, and inform others. Dont just be like "hay guise, here's another huge convention on the same weekend, yeah its the same weekend as Vegas but we're not gonna address that".

The way it stands right now, they just look petty by scheduling it the same weekend. If they came out and addressed WHY they did it intentionally it would go alot farther.

It's gonna rock -- should be the biggest, most satisfying vape meet so far in history Modders that will be there according to Facebook: MoJo (and some other Korean modders), Doc Dave, Faceless, Butters, Lux, and via PM I was told that that barely scratches the surface of the list. Gonna be epic!!!

I hear your point about division. No one really wants that. But I think it's a stretch to say that it was an effort to divide the community, as if that was the goal. if it were a single source or person that was out to divide wherever s/he can then that would clearly be wrong.
