Vegas Baby, I live half way between Vegas and Anaheim. I got an FB message about the Anaheim convention a month back. I thought it a little weird that It was being hosted by an organization that was calling it's self the "Premier West Coast Vapers Club".....I'd never heard of them. I defiantly wouldn't say I'm in the "Know" when it comes to the SoCal vape scene. But I do know a few folks who are, they had never heard of them either. They must be really exclusive. So I'll be attending Vegas, mostly because I had made plans too a month before Id ever even heard of the one in Anaheim. The whole thing just smells fishy to me.

I heard the organizer say the other day that the date was chosen because that is what the Anaheim Convention Center offered them. That is perfectly believable because places like that sometimes book years in advance. Politics aside, I will be there and the one in Long Beach because they are both convenient for me.

Please post info about the Long Beach event

I got literally "hit in the face" with all the free ejuice being distributed for 6 straight minutes. 75 ml worth for my $5 admission. So it was a treat for me a humble end consumer. I can only hope these upcoming events Im hearing about will match this greatness of giveaways. Ive never seen it done this way and it seems tough to top.

Not sure about whats being accused here. I just read there was a convention the night before, drove 40 minutes and went. I see now the one I went to was cleverly done and in a way that made "people choose". Well I didnt know that at the time, but I still want my end user experience to be as much a spectacle as it could be for the admission i paid, and now I see It totally was. Dont take my word for it and see for yourself.

ECC Anaheim 2013:

Vegas Vapefest 2013:

Its U.S. Capitalism in 2013, the people pleasing crowd winners deserve their seeds they sow if they provide the better end product. Survival of customer service-ness and like walmart, we enjoy it regardless of unfortunate loss in revenues for anyone thats simply not an end user. U have to earn ur job security I guess, even if its cleverly done. Just my 2cents didnt mean to offend. Just an end user looking for most value for his weekend.

All I see in that video is the usual gang of haters and a single booth.

Vapefest, on the other hand, was friggin' amazing. Overwhelming, even. Massive number of
attendees, vendors with their wares, and vendors looking for new products. Met a ton of people
I know of and have never seen in the flesh.

It was a truely awesome event.

TheArtist, would you explain what you mean by "the usual gang of haters"?

That video did show only one booth with its massive give-a-ways, but at the ECC there was FAR more than just that going on. It was quite the phenomenon actually. Hanging out with (appx.) 10,000 other vapers was an unduplicatable experience!

And I do think 9,999 others would agree that it was AWESOME! :)

Or, it could just be that it was the only date any southern California Convention Center or large Venue could be booked?

Remember -- there are always 2 sides to any story and everything you read on the internet isn't true.

Now, look at all the venders that were in Vegas -- did any of them advertise the ECC? Please do the research for me. Should I call out hate for Cherry Vapes and all the vendors and boycott them because they didn't talk about Anaheim? Because, if they didn't, then they surely must be haters. Right?

I'd say the So Cal community had no problem attracting people from it's public, the vapers in So Cal and the owners, employees and customers of the hundreds of B&M's in the area. I also believe Vegas doubled their attendance from last year and had a bigger turnout than expected.

I'd say this is a Win Win for the vaping community. Next fall lets have a "Meet/Bash/TradeShow/Convention" in 12 major cities the same weekend!
