I want to but its so expensive to just walk into a machine shop and ask them to make a prototype. Need machining connections that vape lol

Yea, I was looking into some CNCing for a mod I was pondering (and plastics extrusion etc) a bit ago. The issue with CNC shops is the time it takes to get it set up. I was reading that there's no money in it for them until they hit ~100$ an hour, most of the time is in the set up so a single run is not cheap, and that assumes your first run is perfect. Unless you have a lot of experience doing this stuff it's unlikely it will come out working.
