I just got a 510 to cartomizer adapter for my riva today. I tried it out with a couple dif flavors and it just wasn't hitting right. The I put the cartos on my little PSAce and I am getting monster hits. Why am I getting more vapor and more flavor from a battery that small? Is the adapter creating more resistance? Does the riva batt put out smaller voltage. This is blowing my mind because now I'm just angry that my riva which last me 12 hours isn't performing up to par with my little PSAce that I have to switch out for a good hit every 2 hours

I must not understand what 808 means. I thought that was a size like the 801 901 etc.

Man it sucks when u first start out. Stocking up on attys and cartos and then realizing I just bought 20 cartos that I prob won't use. Haha
Hopefully the 5v someone is letting me try will work well with those cartos without making them burn inside cause my PSAce made them brown up and I'm freaking out about the burnt carto pics I saw

Yes, much to learn. 808, 510, 901 etc. are all different ecig models. Most are not interchangeable, but some are. Example: 306 batteries and attys are interchangeable with 510 batts and attys...and also the chargers. Then you have some that are interchangeable batts/attys, but the chargers aren't interchangeable. It's a lot to take in. 808 is the only skinny battery *I* know of that runs a true 3.7v.

It's may be the way your adapter fits on the Riva Nepherael. Is it a 510 to 901/808 adapter? If so, look at the middle of the side that the cartos attach to. You'll see a faint slot, like a flathead screw slot. Take a small screwdriver and turn that counter clockwise, a half a turn at a time and retest each time, until you get the draw you want.

I bought it from xhaler and it is specifically a 510 > cartomizer. That's why I thought my PSAce is a 510. But yeah that screw is there. all its changing is airflow it still burns cooler than the PSAce. That's why I'm having a hard time understanding this. I hope I'm not sounding dumb. It's this whole 808 and 510 thing when I have 510 cartomizers that fit on it

PSAce is most definetly a KR808 unit. You must be using 808 cartos if you arent using an adapter on it.If your Riva is a 510 that is why you need an adapter.Adjust the adapter and your hit should improve a bit.The Riva is a weaker, longer lasting 510 battery. The 808 has more power, but less mah,so it lasts less time.Make sense?

what they said... turning the screw will improve airflow and the amount of vapor... won't change the heat..

the 808 at 3.7ish V.... the riva at 3.2ish V (neither one run true really, because of the highly technical concept of voltage sag on stock batteries) ...but the 808 battery runs warmer with the same carto... you'd have to get a lower resistance cartomizer to get more heat out of it...but you should get more vapor by adjusting the airflow

Yes that does make sense. I thought that cartos screwed on like a cap and attys screwed in like a screw but an 808 must just be the cap style. The reason I didn't understand is because the adapter I bought did not say 510 > 808 it just said 510 > cartomizer so that led me to believe that cartos just screwed on differently than attys but it was still a 510. It just comes from not having tried anything else. I had no clue all along that I really was using 808 cartos.

Thank you very much for clearing that up for me everyone and sorry about the confusion,
Neph

they're different threads...but several are threaded the same (if that makes any sense)

510...306...510 cartomizer...l88b...blu are all threaded the same (the l88b and blu are reversed polarity though)
KR808d-1... and 901 threaded the same (but sometimes there are airflow problems using a KR808d-1 on a 901 battery...but no problems the other way)

additionally there are some problems with some adapters...rather some are made different than others... ( I like the 510 > 901/808D-1 adapter from madvapes personally) ....some of the adapters from nhaler (as much as I like them as a vendor) have been...um... "problematic"
