I am not good with building things especially when I don't really know what to do.. Where can I get those types of batteries? and I'm thinking on getting a Dark Horse rda by Steam Angel but idk how good of an rda it is cause it doesn't say on the online shop it's on

Here for Sony VTC4 18650 batteries
SONY VTC4 18650 2000mAh Battery - Flat Top - 30A

Here for the Billow V2 rebuildable tank atomiser. Start with one of these. They produce big enough clouds with 2 coils.
Billow v2 RTA by EHPRO & Eciggity - Eciggity

Here's some 24awg kanthal wire for your Billow V2
Kanthal A1 Resistance Wire (Even Gauges) | Lightning Vapes

Here for Muji organic cotton for your wick
Japan Organic Daily Facial Cotton 140 Sheets 60×50MM MUJI Mujirushi | eBay

This is a great easy to use little gadget for creating coils.
$11.82-$11.99 (Ship from USA)Coil Master - Blue

This is an ohm reader. Use it for checking your coil builds before fitting them into your Billow V2
2-in-1 Ohm & Voltage Meter

Building coils is a walk in the park. Try 6 wraps of 24awg kanthal with 2.5mm inner diameter per coil. All you have to do is use the coil master to wrap the wire around. You can wind a piece of wire around a small metal rod right ?.

You might need something like this to screw your coils onto you Billow V2 build deck
6pc Precision Screwdriver Set Micro Jewelers Mini Watchmakers Phillips Slotted | eBay

Two coils each with 6 wraps at 2.5mm inner diameter once fitted should give you a combined ohm'age of somewhere between 0.25ohm - 0.30ohm. The coil master has various rods from 1mm up to 3mm thick. You use the second largest rod which is 2.5mm and just wrap you wire round that, it's easy. When you've fitted the coils cut two lengths of cotton from a pad each about 5mm wide and wick each coil, making sure the wick can slide into the coil relatively easily. Trim the cotton tails and fit them into the juice channels of the Billow V2 build deck. Prime the cotton with juice, fill the tank and away you go.

Practice makes perfect, you may not get it right first time but it shouldn't take you more than an hour to get your Billow coiled and wicked.

The whole beginner thing is a matter of opinion, my father has never vaped a day in his life however he went to college for electrical engineering. He'd be a "beginner" and I bet he could take on an unregulated mod with an even stronger (26650) battery as his first vape, RDA and all. (His lungs may not be able to though, lol!) It takes literally half an hour of reading to learn not to blow your hand off and stay safe. In the replies to this thread, it wouldn't even take 30 minutes, more like 10. Saying anything different is undermining everyone's intellect and assuming everyone is an irrational ..... that buys broken junk. (Which I get you have to do when it comes to dealing with a topic such as this one since you are holding so much power and responsibility in your hands) but I'm just being real and sue me for not thinking everyone is an idiot. I'd like to think people care about their lives enough to not make faulty mistakes. That's a huge problem in this world, the bar is so low on everything so lots of people are left never coming close to their full potential. (Off topic a bit..) People are very opinionated in how machines are costing people their jobs; however, people can do so much more than, for example, flipping patties.

Back on topic, I purchased an 18650 Stingray mod when I was a "beginner." Only vaped for a month beforehand on hand-me-downs. I really do respect your post but you're telling me I need to do some more research when I'm only here to provide helpful information since I own the exact mech mod this thread is about. It baffles me you'd assume such things since I am taking the time to provide a detailed explanation and not posting mere riffraff to get my five posts in. I don't like to make this about anything but what the thread is about, but you don't know who's on the other end of the computer you're using. I could have a masters in electrical engineering for all you know. With that said, I do completely understand the other end of the spectrum. I could be a complete imbecile that doesn't take in consideration the dangers of electrical current.

Moving forward.. They sell pre-built coils for an Aspire Atlantis tank that are .3 ohm. The peeps at the local vape shop mention they have customers come in with ohms as low as .01 fluctuating between that and .00 and still vaped with no self harm. Now as I'd never recommend going anywhere near that low. Going that low, I'd understand holding the ground to tell someone to do more research on safety. I think .3 is definitely a fair ohm to use.

The 2,000+ degrees mentioned is a safety topic in itself. I've never mentioned getting that hot was necessary, but the melting point (sorry I messed up the degrees a little bit and neglected to pinpoint that it was the melting point) is 2,550 degrees Fahrenheit.

With these topics, safety is obviously 1st priority. However, I feel strongly most topics concerning safety (videos, forum threads, blogs, etc.) provide a huge safety net for worst possible scenarios, like faulty equipment, to scare people into not even coming close to dangerous ohm readings.

This isn't even a thread on safety, my first post was on the various problems with low vapor production. I don't know if you're having a bad day or what, but please show me some respect. I understand these are my first few posts but I have many more on other forums. Actually, I was told this forum had the best community; which is the whole reason I joined in the first place. Not to have people put other people down like the other forums' users thrive and feed on doing. Anyway, hope you have a great day. I'm sorry if you may be going through a stressful time, but please be more polite. I'm pretty good at reading tone, even tried to read your response in multiple positive tones and none fit unless you were being happily sarcastic; which is highly unlikely. I get that this whole response is in reply to one sentence, and I understand that replying in such a manner is because I got even the tiniest bit offended in the first place. Kudos, it's hard to get a response from me like this but I treasure my intelligence and expect to use this forum fairly often. It's a little discouraging to be shot down when I'm posting with the best intentions.

Sure, there are people with electrical backgrounds that could jump right in with both feet, but do you really think by the original posters post that they are that person? They mention not wanting to try building yet because they don't trust their skills. Smart enough to know better at least.

Your background doesn't matter, the op mentioned that they knew close to nothing about this. Below .5 ohm is "advanced" territory.

2550 degree melting temp means nothing in vaping. You would be in pain way before that. It is a moot point.

Around here, newbies are steered towards excess safety. The government is targeting vaping and all we need is a few more people blowing their hands apart or burning their faces up to encourage our government to jump down our throats. We protect vaping by keeping people on the overly safe side until they have the knowledge to make informed choices and experiance to go further.

My "do some more research" comment wasn't about your building skills, but about they way total newbies are handled around here. The step from running a Nautilus to building sub ohm coils can be a big one. If the op was running a temp control mod, I would have no problem telling them to go low as that is all that is avalible. My Smok TCT only has .15 Nickel coils. My Derringer barely fits a dual coil .07 build, when using nickel. And that's 28awg wire... I wasn't trying to offend, just tell you to cool it when offering that kind of advice to someone that obviously isn't knowledgable about building.

Well, as a few has said, get familiar with OHMS law, its not too hard to learn, go get yourself a nice atomizer, and a good battery, some organic cotton, wire, and an ohm meter. I suggest a mutationx, with a sony VTC4, and any wire these guys suggest, I've used plad, and K1 but thats because I buy locally in a small town haha! Yeah though, just do those things and you will be vaping like a pro in no time on a mech!

if clouds are the sole thing you are looking for as others have stated the nautilus is not the right thing to be using an rda on a mech is where the clouds hang out and safety is really something that should be learned prior to experimenting and i even place tanks on my ohm meter just incase the coil i put in happens to be shorted in shipping or one of the factory flaws.
