Long post, any help is appreciated! If you don't want to read it all I understand!

Alright, heres my story! I've been vaping since last April, and started with a Riva. Then I fiddled with box Mods (got fed up of them breaking easily). Then I bought a Roughstack V2. Then I got some eGo's. I used to use Cartridges, then I went to dripping, then I went to cartos. I think I like the Boge 2.0 ohm cartos, and dripping (minus the mess it can make). I have also ordered some tanks to give them a shot.

I'll be getting my tax refund so I have some money to spend on a new PV, if I can justify the cost.

I have a hundred questions, but will only ask a handfull.

What puts the Reos apart from other PVs? How much better is this than say a MadVapes bottom feeder that is much cheaper. Will I love this THAT much more than my eGo or Roughstack? Can I use regular Trustfire 14500 batteries (I have like 8 of them), or is it that much more of a difference to buy the AW batteries. Are there leaking problems? How hard would it be to switch a flavor of juice? I've never used a BottomFeeder.

Another tough decision... Reo MINI or Reo GRAND! I am afraid that the Grand might be too big. Also, I have only vaped at 3.7v (Ok I tried 5V once, but that mod broke). So if I want to stick to 3.7, I would think the mini would be the way to go. BUT! What if I wanted to mess around with different voltages one day! These aren't cheap and I wouldn't want to have to buy two if I didn't have to. Does anyone have pictures of the Mini / Grand compared to each other, and compared to other things like a hand or an eGo?

I would ask if theres any other PVs I should consider instead of a Rio, but I bet this section is pretty set on their REOS! Haha.

Final question, Whats YOUR favorite setup with the Reo (be it Mini or Grand). I'm talking Atty/Carto/Resistance.

The thing that sets apart a REO from other mods. Is that it's the ONLY bottom feeder made out of a solid block of Aircraft Aluminum. So, there's no need to worry if it were damaged. Since it's almost bomb proof. Also, it's the original all mechanical bottom feeder. Which means that you don't have to worry about it breaking down if you drop it in water. Compared to a device with an electrical switch would be rendered useless if that were to occur.

If you were to drop your plastic bottom feeder or step on it then it's over. You have to buy another one. Also, they are constructed very poorly. So, the chances of it breaking is very high. The REO will last you a lifetime. There has been members that have dropped theirs from 20ft. in the air, drove over it with their trucks, dropped it in a bucket of water, and the list goes on.

Another thing to think about is that you don't have to carry around any extra bottles of juice, atties, or cartos. Which adds convenience to the list of positive aspects of a bottom feeder. It's hard to say whether you will love it over your Roughstack but the ease of use and convenience. Puts the REO in front of the race IMO and plus, I like the feel of a box mod in my hand compared to a tube mod to be honest with you. If you ever hated dripping and wanted something that would make it a lot easier. Then the REO would be a great choice.

It would be in your best interest to get AW IMR's since they are safe chemistry. So, they will be safer then other batts on the market. Also, they do well in keeping consistent performance with LR atties and cartos. Which need a lot of power to keep them working at an optimal level.

There are no leaking problems with REO's. I own 7 of them and not a single one has a leaking problem. A lot of people switch flavors with their REO. All you need to do is change the bottle, atomizer and your good to go. Although, some just drip a few drops of juice in the catch cup and it works great for them.

From what you have described. The Grand would be the best choice since you can change between 3.7V, 5, and 6V with a simple switch of batteries. The size of it is similar to a business card or pack of cigarettes. So, that gives you a good idea of what it would be like in your hand. It will also depend on if you vape 3 or 6ml a day. So, that will be a factor in your decision. Personally, I can only vape 3ml of juice a day and can only stand that flavor for that long.

There are other choices but, the customer service from Rob, community, build quality, and function is unbeatable. I've tried a few other bottom feeders and my REO's will never leave my collection.

Favorite set-up: AW IMR 3.7V batt & 1.5 ohm Cisco LR 306

Thanks for the long, detailed post! Thats what I was hoping for. I see you are a REO-SOMNIAC haha..

Now I'm trying to find some pictures of the two that will help me determine the size difference. I just don't know if I will want to go higher than 3.7v, so I may end up getting the mini. 3ml would be a large enough sized bottle for me.

No problem, just tried to let you know as best as I can describe it to you. And yeah I'm on here at all sorts of crazy hours. Which was why I was able to reply LOL

Anyways, totally forgot that this thread was created today:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...hing-specific-reo-sub-forum-thread-index.html

You should be able to find all the info your looking for here. Along with plenty of pics. The mini's are great and use mine most of the time. The only downside is battery life but, it doesn't bother me to carry a few extra batts.

Hope that helps.

Mini is nice I have 1 and love it, yes you can use your trustfires but the AW IMR's are the best all around, if you decide you what to try High Voltage later you can do 6v by stacking 2 IFR14250's (which is how I run my Mini all exclusively) I get my batteries from Innovapor, Reos are the best hands down you won't regret the purchase I PROMISE! not to mention if you decide you don't like it the resell value is extremely high (I've seen used ones in the classys sell for almost retail and quick) you'll probably like it so much you'll justify buying another one in no time most of us own more then 1, the metal Reos are all mechanical so if they get dirty you can literally wash them out in the sink, there's not another Mod on the market this Tuff and dependable and I won't even get started on the UNBELIEVABLE customer service and Reonauts that will help with any ?'s you may have so fast it will make your flippin head spin. Do yourself a favor stop your search you found the best now pull the trigger and experince Vapin Bliss with the rest of us:)

You used the word fiddle. That is what got me too. Sams Club is missing my bulk paper towel purchases. Wipe fiddle wipe. I don't fiddle now.

Your vaping style dictates if you need mini or grand. Even though I am a lady with tiny hands, I have to use grand for bigger battery and more juice. I dont pay attention to size of it. It's second nature now, like picking up a cup of coffee or a cell phone.

I think my fellow reonauts already answered your questions. REOs are the most hassle free PV I've come across. 5 of my 6 came from the classies. I only had a slight problem with one of them leaking...an older model, and well used. After plenty of help from this forum I sent it in to Rob. He had it fixed and back to me in two days, and only charged $7. I thought that was above and beyond great customer service, especially for a mod I picked up from the classifieds.

I wouldnt use those trustfire 14500 in a Mini, especially if you use a LR atty. Theres not enough power in that battery for those. If you are a heavy to moderate vaper and want hassle free I would go for the Grand..1600 mah vs 600 mah. As said before in the Grand you can do 5 or 6v by changing battery configurations.

One other point. I may have the most used GRand ever. Its been my sole personal vaperizer since early January of last year and I vape a lot. Its never needed a repair and its been knocked off of tables and dropped many times and still keeps going.

I recently ordered a mini and got a grand. I didn't know that at first and I swore the grand was actually a mini because I expected the grand to be much bigger. Just so you know. Its not too big unless you are looking for a stealth mod. If you see how long an 18650 is, that's how long it is with about 1/2 inch more. The width is less than half of that. Its the perfect size for me for a first Reo. I think I would've found the mini too small for a first Reo. I'm glad it worked out the way that it did.

Thanks again for the responses.. they help in my quest for the right RIO! Didn't realize how hard of a decision this would be.

Mini
- Size
- Battery life not as great, but I don't really mind swapping out a battery

Grand
- Voltage options
- Longer battery life

Yea, the mini can do 6v, but I read battery life isn't great at 6v. Plus, I'm not sure if 6v is too big of a step from 3.7v.

Not to mention I will have to decide on the right atty / carto / batteries / and COLOR!

I need a buy one get one sale on RIOS! ;)

Here is a thread that would be interesting for you and your questions too. : http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/267046-thinking-reo-but-one-cpl-questions.html

Thanks for the link! I am pretty bad at searching these forums lol.

I choose mini! I would just hate to get a grand and have it be too big for my liking.

Most reviews say they come with an atty and a little kit with spare parts. However, the sit says it doesn't come with an atty or any accessories? What will my mini come with?

I normally use Boge 2.0 cartos. Will they work or should I try a lower ohm in the rio? I also want to pick up a LR atty. Would one of the ones on the Rio site be a good fit? I see they have EM or Smoke Teck LR attys.

Also, if I order one and the mod gets here before the AW recommended batteries, will my Trustfire 14500 batteries work until the new ones arrive?

Congratulations!

Most reviews say they come with an atty and a little kit with spare parts. However, the sit says it doesn't come with an atty or any accessories? What will my mini come with?It comes with a business card, an extra bottle and a little reducer tube for if your juice is too thin. No atty or accessories

Boge 2.0's work great, especially with sweet or fruity flavors. I haven't used the EM or Smoke Teck yet, but my personal sweet spot is with a LR306 atty 1.8 and 2.0 ohms(Cisco)

Also, if I order one and the mod gets here before the AW recommended batteries, will my Trustfire 14500 batteries work until the new ones arrive?Leave this question for another REOnaut, I've only used the AW IMRs. I think the Trustfires will work, but the AWs are deemed to be the safest.

Answers in red. Again Congratulations on your decision and welcome to REOvil!:toast:

Yes, your Trustfires will work. Just not nearly as well as the AW batteries. :) And yes, your Boge 2.0Ω Cartos will work just fine.

Welcome, Ben :)

PS....some of those review videos are very old and some information is no longer accurate.
