Why did NiFe 52 disappear?

About 3 years back I was fond of NiFe 52 until it disappeared. When I got into using the now ubiquitous SS316L, I noticed that I had to make all electrical connections cleaner and tighter and have the mod set the resistance more accurately. The high TCR of NiFe 52 was not so finicky and not as soft as Ni 200. I would’ve thought NiFe wire would’ve stayed more popular. A couple places I found have NiFe 70 that I may try.

I get my Nife from Germany. I only use NiFe and Ti these days and have enough to last a lifetime from my experimental builds days.

Yeah it seems to be more available in Europe. I’ve been all SS for a couple years since it’s easy to get, but I found a place I want to order some NiFe 70 from.
