If you just got them. In my experience its 1 of 3 things.

1: You aren't letting them wick up. New tanks need a bit to soak liquid into them brand new dry wicks.
2: The wicks have a primer fluid in them. I don't fully understand the point to this but it tastes awful. You can either A: vape through it or B: Rinse them out and dry em and then give em a bit to wick up.
3: I don't know you or know how long you've been vaping, but you "could" be vaping them too hot (too high a voltage).

and of course there's always a possibility that you got a bad batch.

Hope that helps. GL

Thanks all.

No offense taken.

I got them on a whim to test new flavors.

I am new (first month vaping) So I'm trying to to find a tobacco a really like and some desserts I like. Maybe drinks too. But tobacco is my priority.

I use a vamo v5, SVD ... Then a Nautilis, Aero, and now a iclear 30B for my main tanks.

I.also decided to test flavors.with.a bridgeless carto for dripping. So I'll try your suggestions and if they are still bad. I'll just trash em.

Dripping with the bridgless changed everything. Next is an rda (a good clone because $ is a big factor) and a dc 30w vv/vw. Maybe Siegeli 30w or that Hana modz clone that is supposedly on the horizon (per Alibaba). Again, money is a factor so gotta go China/clone.

Id welcome any suggestions. Especially a clone RDA.

I learn so much from you all. This is an awesome forum#!!!

If you're using all that equipment, toss the CE5s, get a dripper. Your equipment is probably mad at you :) (kidding)

Seriously, get a dripper for taste testing, quick and easy. I bought a $10 Smok Dripper RDA at the B&M. Build a coil, swap out cotton.

Lol.... It probably is! Especially the SVD / Nautilus combo. It's pretty awesome. .... For now!

If you want good flavors (especially tobacco and deserts) head over to:

Custom E-Liquids : Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

I tried her out on a recommendation from someone on this forum and I haven't vaped anything else since. (Try legend or dragon's fire for tobacco)

Funny, they are the first vendor I tried. I bought shadow and serendipity. Both very good but more pipe than cigarette to me. I have heard dragon fire and legend are best, per the NET thread. I may just do that.

I've heard Ahlusion's Best Damn Tobacco (maybe wrong name) is great and considered that. I did order 2 samplers from naturally-extracted-tobacco.net but that was nearly 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. I'm told it's worth the wait. Between what thier site says and the hype, I'll be patient. I guess 6 weeks is common due to demand and thier extraction process /standards. They use American Spirits tobacco. I used to smoke them. I miss them, unfortunately.

I recently bought a Vamo V5 kit that came with two CE4s. I didn't like them at all. Constantly burning my juice.

Reading this thread I noticed that if I held the atty upside down I could see tiny air bubbles entering the wick area at the top.
I cut about a 16th of an inch of the rubber as described in an earlier thread and it's working great now.

While I've never compared the CE4 with the CE5 I'll assume they're similar. Is the CE5 a top coil clearo as the CE4 is? Otherwise, what's the difference between the two?

If you aren't wanting a pipe tobacco then Legend may not be for you as its intended to be a pipe tobacco. (damn tasty though) Dragons fire is for you if you are wanting more cigarette like taste.

I do have to say though. I've tried a lot of juice looking for a cigarette taste when I 1st started. You aren't going to quite find it. The problem is, cigarettes have so much else other than tobacco goin on with them that tobacco ejuices just cant replicate. I mean the straight tobacco flavor itself can get really close. But as far as emulating the taste of cigarette smoke? I have yet to see this. Kind of a good thing too, I know its familiar, but looking back on it and especially smelling it second hand, that smell/taste is horrid.

If you've just recently quit smoking, it may take some getting used to. But at least you can rest assured that you aren't inhaling all that nasty stuff that makes that smell/flavor in the 1st place :toast:

I hear that. I really do. Thanks. I think I was hoping the American Spirit based NET would be close because the American spirits I smoked were organic. Ya know, so healthy lol.

It's interesting though, when I switched from camel wide lights to American spirit, they lasted twice as long, and when I was done with one. I'd still wanted a cigarette. I kind of thought that might be the manifestation of being addicted to the other crap and poison they add to most analogs.... For what is worth.

CE4 and CE5 are basically the same. The only difference is that the CE5 has repaceable coils. I believe the CE5 was the FIRST clearomizer to have changeable coils.
I appreciate your answering this. Yep, the CE4 is a disposable.

That's why I like to hang around here. I share what little I know and there's still a lot I have to learn.
