I bought some 510 clearos (at goodejuice, the five pack of clear ones that are 12.99), and they taste burnt even at 3.3V. I've had other 510 clearos that were fine. Do these need a break in period? I didn't open a second one. It tastes terrible. I've rinsed it out, let it dry, and tried another brand juice in it, just in case it was the liquid. Still tasting burned.
Thanks in advance for any help. :)

have you tested the res with a meter? it may be faulty and have really low res. i have yet to find a clearo, carto that tests even close to what its advertised as. the +-.2 ohms might be what the shoot for, but i have seen a full ohm difference (both ways) than what the package stated. had a 1.7 ohm test at .6 ohms, and a 3 ohm test at 3.9ohms. before i use anything, ill meter it, and scribe what the real setting is on so i dont burn it out too soon.

I don't have a meter. I think it's time to get one. Do you know where I can get a good, but simple one?

You may want to try these:

CE3 XL Clearomizer

I've had pretty good luck with them. Good price too.

If you have tried other clearomizers that work fine for you, I'd stick with them. Or, maybe they happened to be the same thing, just a new batch? Anyway, I looked over Goodejuice website, and one thing that struck me was that the clearomizers they were carrying were basically the same technology devices being used 1 to 3 years ago. Some of these clearomizers worked OK, others were complete disasters.

If a person knew their weaknesses, modding them could often make them passable, but they were plagued with may issues. The resistance mentioned above, wicking problems, vacuum problems, and filling problems. Many of the problems are getting worked out with the newer designs. Not completely, but much better.

I can't comment on your particular clearo, which I believe you are meaning the Boge transparent clearos. Actually I have never seen or used them, and they look strange. Some kind of bottom coil, but after that I'm really not sure about the rest of the design. So, unfortunately, the answer you seek is not yet here.

Not sure what your batteries are, but a previous poster recommended possibly using the new Kanger products. (They might look rather funny on a small cigalike battery). Their T3 and MT3 are bottom coil units, their T2 is a top coil unit for a warmer vape, and their ProTank is pyrex and looks really nice. It seems that these units give a basically very good out of the box performance and value.

There may be a few clearomizers we carry that are of the "technology 2 or three years ago", but we carry many more types, including the latest in technolgy. Take a look
