Why do I need empty carts?

So I'm sitting here vaping, as I've been doing alllllllll day, and after 24 hours of ownership, I just realized that I haven't changed the cartridge on the end of my atomiser. I just keep putting a drop or two of liquid in it, or a drop or 2 of liquid directly on the atty and smoke away until I'm not getting anything, rinse and repeat.

I'm not sure exactly why I would need to change the end piece to one with fresh cotton, or whatever it is inside. Tips? Advice?

If you are direct dripping right onto the atomizer, then you DON'T need the fresh cotton/polyfill/filling.

Feel free to take it out.

Don't throw your carts away, you can clean them. The filling/plug/stuffing will get nasty after a while, to the point that you can't clean it. Also, some flavors are strong and will overpower a subtler one (or make a yucky taste). They're pretty cheap and there's all kinds of mods you can use on here for the filling. Don't throw your carts away, you can clean them. You may want to try a few to see what works best for you. I have to admit though, I clean my stuff everynight.
