Why do none of the juices taste good to me?

Maybe I need to try unflavoured juice as I tried 3 new juices today and all had a very foul taste. I tried a 20/80 pg/vg coconut and it tastes like soap, tried a 70/30 pg/vg pineapple and I think it needs to steep more as I taste almost nothing and the last one was a 30/70 pg/vg butterscotch which was far too strong so I am steeping it again.

I am going to look for some unflavored juice and see how I like it.

Yeah always keep unflavored on hand.

Also try the dessert flavors like butter pecan.

It's awfully early for vaper's tongue. There are those of us who just don't like sweet flavors. As stated above, VG is sweet. Try higher PG liquids. Also, try different companies for fruits. Some actually do taste like fruit instead of candy. Plain teas (I'm fond of Earl Grey) and coffees aren't as sweet. Though most plain coffee flavors aren't very good, Vapor Station Sumatra is one exception to that.

It is harder if you don't like mint/menthol, but there are some not sweet options out there.

im gonna be a bit of a jerk here and say this.

Take your personal mod to a vape shop and ask to sample until you find one you like, each time you adapt to the flavour take a small hit of something heavy like cinnamon or aniseed to get the old taste bud fireing and do the same thing again.

find a few you enjoy and work on finding similar flavours in the future, job done.

I second this. Since you don't like mint for now I would suggest a cinnamon/tobacco flavor. It should cut out the sweetness and wake up your taste buds.

3rd it? idk if that's a thing but imma make it one. try cinnamon/tobacco flavor. a lot of ppl when first tryin to quit the analogs, like RY4. course it also depends on what brand you smoked. there is a shop close to me, they also have online ordering their most popular tobacco is called Main Street. the shop is dfwvapor.com
until you settle on a flavor grit your teeth n give'r hell.

Go eat a pickle!! Seriously....it worked for me. When I get less flavor from my juices I go grab a small dill pickle, munch it down, drink a glass of water and I'm good to go again. And as others have said here, it takes time for those taste buds to come back to life. Good luck!

the pickle works cause the pickling juice actually re-hydrates you. if you are dehydrated drink some pickle juice. sounds gross, but i've heard it works better than power-aid/gatoraid all the sports drinks.

I have gone to two b&m stores and tried every kind they had ... Nothing tasted amazing and the ones I could stand were Apple, afternoon delight (pina colada flavor) and one of the tobacco ones I got, every other flavor tasted off to me. Between these two stores, I have tried roughly 50 kinds.

I am going to a new store today that carries different juices with more customizability and see if I can work out something there. I will try a 70/30 pg and see if it differs .

So this may sound a little stupid, however hear me out. I tried e-cigs years ago and my biggest complaint was that since i was a menthol smoker and the normal tobacco flavor tasted like graham crackers to me that i needed to try their menthol. Sad problem was all the kiosks were always out of menthol. When i did order them i found that they were the wrong kind of menthol. The mint was all wrong. I gave up as the flavor was HORRIBLE to me, I was soooooo sick and tired of smoking and spending the money on smoking that i decided I was GOING to find something I liked. So I went to local stores to try what they had. I found a store that had me try all of their flavors and in the end everything started tasting the same and I was not finding the menthol i wanted. Just as i was about to walk out the store owner came in and said that he would make juice until I found the flavor i wanted. It turned out being a mix of like 90-95% tobacco and 5-10% menthol and it was PERFECT! He even let me name the juice. From then on I've learned that when you go in, DO NOT use their batteries when you test flavors, use your own fully charged one. Take in a little bag of coffee beans and smell them after every flavor you try to "clean your palette" it seems REALLY weird but after I started doing it everyone else in the store started borrowing my coffee beans. But KEEP trying and do not test their atty's on their EVOD batteries that are probably half dead and not giving your the correct pull on it.

Do you by chance like Coffee? There are some good ones out there that have a "warm" flavoring to them. I liked Space Jam: Galatica, Hells Vapors: Champange Rose, there was Madtown Vapors: Tiramisu and then out of nowhere BAM...Madtown Vapors: blue banana...which was odd for me to like as I normally don't like banana flavored anything except real bananas. There are companies out there that have sample packs which I think are GREAT! So give them a go. Like Sample Packs or E-Liquid Sample Pack - Mister-E-Liquid

Unfortunately I do not like the following flavors so it's hard to find something that's good. Coffee, cinnamon, menthol, ice flavor, peanut butter, any berries it seems, butterscotch. Ones I seem to like the most are banana, tobacco with caramel, pina colada. I ordered some samples of coke, vanilla coke, energy drink, egg nog and apple pie this week just to try them out. Did some more flavor testing at a store today but their hardware must suck as most flavors taste like I am inhaling moldy air. Lol I can't win.

At least in general, there is a fundamental difference between Canadian cigarettes and American cigarettes. Ours are 100% tobacco. No "casing", no flavouring. I say "in general", because I don't know if the laws changed with free trade. I do know that duMaurier still says "100% tobacco" on their package. While the casing applied to American cigarettes varies, one common component is glycerin, because it smooths the harshness of fire-cured Burley tobacco, for instance. This suggests that Americans are more used to the sweetness that comes with glycerine. A standard tobacco in Canada is flue-cured Virginia.

While PG does have some sweetness, it is less than VG. I am vaping unflavoured 100% PG. Try it for a few days ... it grows on you. And, if you like it, as I do, then your vaping costs drop like a stone. I find it gets sweeter as the tank/carto/whatever gets used up ... like syrup gets sweeter as it cooks - more concentrated. Keeping the supply topped up works.

Finding my own vape is taking time, but I'm closer now.
