But the "Australian Sex Party" is not on the ballot for President. The Libertarian nominee, however, is on the ballot in enough states to have a mathematical chance of winning. Unfortunately, both of the major party candidates are so terrible that people on both sides of the aisle feel obligated to vote against whomever they think is slightly more evil than the other. Some polls have shown that 80% of Americans would vote for a 3rd party if they had the opportunity, but with so much money being spent to maintain the status quo by the same bankers who own all of the major media outlets...most people don't even KNOW that there is a real and legitimate option this year, so realistically the odds of a pro-Harm Reduction candidate actually winning are pretty small.

For me, however, I will no longer be wasting my vote on the evil of two lessers. Both of the major parties receive the majority of their funding from multinational banks and giant companies (including the Big Pharma companies that sponsor propaganda hoping to ban non-pharmaceutical alternatives to smoking) so as far as I'm concerned, both parties are working against my interest. Neither of the major party candidates has a plan to balance the budget during their administration, so anyone who thinks that we need to balance the budget and start paying down the debt rather than slowing down the rate of GROWTH of the deficit is completely wasting their vote on either the red or blue corporation (read: organized crime gangsters gone "legit" by infiltration) sponsored candidates. In my personal opinion, voting for any third party (even one with no chance of actually winning) is less of a wasted vote than continuing to vote for the evil of two lessers.

DISCLAIMER: The above opinions are my own in light of the current US political debate and not reflective of any official stance of the Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association (CASAA).

I just came here to say that I agree 100% with your sentiment that the 2 party system is broken and has failed us all. I will also vote 3rd party in every presidential election and will not bow to the bullies who tell me I'm wasting my vote. That right there is a sure fire way to tell if someone has been brainwashed into accepting that the either/or basis of the 2 party system is the only one we can ever have. Thinking like that never brought about any positive changes in society that I can think of. A wasted vote is one where you don't vote your conscience.

Rolly, I got the impression she was saying exactly what you put in the post above, just being 'diplomatic' about it.
Her audience is in another place to us vapers and will need to be hand held until they get to where we are.
It's easy to presume the worst of organizations that oppose ecigs and some are pure propaganda for vested industries, others are just scared of something that might undermine their end game.
The longer we can stay outside regulation other than trading standards the stronger our case gets. What we need to fear is gov giving in to bodies like MHRA and the BMA . Both these bodies see ecigs as trespassing on their territory, smoking is the problem not nicotine, nicotine is not a medication, so far the only thing it treats is nicotine addiction.
I go with confused, I realy think most panels of gov advisory boards are their as a gratuity or endorsement not for their expertise.
Any sugestions how to get an ecig expert on the NICE board?

Why Do Public Health and Anti-tobacco Groups
So Vehemently Oppose The Electronic Cigarette Industry?
Article: Click Here

In short, they want control...

They want to control what you do or do not do... and they want to take your money... just look at tobacco for the prime example.

Public health groups were so vehemently opposed to cigarettes that don't taste like burnt dirt or mouthwash... ala camel exotic blends as they supposedly appeal to kids more than the aforementioned crap tasting ones... and now they are BANNED. They are espousing the same BS with ecigs because 'it appeals to children/minors'...

I just wish they would do more about the 16 yo kids stealing mom and dads' liquor, drinking and driving, and crashing into my brand new truck at a redlight.... yet more kids drink than smoke, but they concentrate on anything 'smoking'... except pot for some reason....
