Why do some juice flavors stain my atty's taste so much more than others (and how can I prevent/get rid of it)?

Like the thread title says....

I have never dealt with this issue because I always used cartos before. If something started to taste off, I prob had already gotten my $1.50 worth of use out the carto and would just toss it. Lately I have switched to atomizers which I indeed enjoy much more, but I have noticed that some flavors just stay in the atty and are nearly impossible to get rid of.

Previously it was pomegranate champagne from Deejstuff. I must have rinsed the atty about 8 times with alcohol and gave it 5 or 6 dry burns trying to get the flavor out. Today, it was AVE Hype. No matter what I tried, I still had this citrusy melon-y flavor hanging over, and I had intentionally selected a heavier flavor to replace the Hype, as I thought it would help cover it up.

So does anybody know why some flavors just seem to "stick" to the atty more?
Also, are there any ways to do something proactive to prevent this in the future?
And if it has already happened, what can you do to get rid of the leftover flavor?

I think some of the darker thicker juices tend to gunk up the coil a bit more then thinner lighter juices. Also the thicker juices prolly stay in the wick longer then the thinner ones. But then again, I believe that some flavors are just more potent then others and in those cases you gotta figure that the flavor will linger a bit longer then others. I've def found that its the more fruity flavors that linger, and I really believe the only solution is having a large collection of atty's!! When I clean my atty's, I usually soak them in boiling hot water over night and it seems to do a pretty good job of removing old flavors. Another trick I recently heard about is vaping flavorless juice for a while to get some of the past flavors burned away!!! Anyway, I'm pretty sure I haven't been much help to you but I just figured I'd throw my two cents in! good luck!

I don't know what type of atty your using, I use a 306, 501 and de-bridge 501(de-bridged it myself, easy...but that's another thread, lol). After each flavor I just blow the atty out into a papertowel till clean(always blowing from the dripping end and I've never had that prob....go figure...hope this helps.
