Hi guys I'm posting this in the noobs group because I actually have no idea,

I see people on Youtube saying in a very snobby way "Oh, I only use VG" or "Oh , I only use PG"

I'm sure I'm not the first to ask and sorry if this is a duplicate topic but can somebody please enlighten me as to why these people are saying one or the other as opposed to regular 70/30 ?

Thanks:p

Most of the time it's preference and nothing more. PG let's the flavor come through more, doesn't produce as much vapor and has more TH. VG can subdue the flavor somewhat, add a little sweetness, doesn't have as much TH and produces more vapor.

There are people that have reactions to one or the other but that's a very small percentage. I personally use a mix of the two somewhere in the 50/50 to 80% pg range when available if it's a juice I haven't tried before and don't know if I'd prefer it one or the other.

Most people use blends of PG with VG

PG - thin, works in everything, lets through the most flavor, nicotine hit and nicotine irritation, makes thin vapor

VG - thick, alone doesn't work well in many methods of vaping because it is too thick, dulls everything PG lets through, makes thicker more persistent vapor

Different methods of vaping work well with different thicknesses of liquid

Normal atomizer - any PG/VG as long as it flows as fast as you vape it (if not, thin with distilled water)

Simple stuffing cartomizers - I find PG w/ 20% or less VG works most easily and give good reuse of the carto

Dual coil cartos (for fat batteries and mods only) - some say they can use VG in these

Tanks and reservoir cartos - they like the thickness of 30% VG or less, some thinner 50/50's may work

And there are some exceptions because some vendors thin their VG with water

thanks for the responses guys, I deffo noticed something weird once.
On my Low Res Cartomizers , my Strawberry Cheescake by Pink Spot Vapor tasted creamy and smooth (like the cheesecake itself)
But when I put it on my atomizer, I tasted the cookie base and more pronounced strawberry.

Why does it do that ? is it a temperature thing triggering different ingredients ?
