Gotta switch up your flavors instead of sticking to one. I have a few favorites that I tend to vape longer than others. When the flavor starts to get "muted", I swap out the tank for another one that has a completely different flavor juice. I usually have 4 or 5 tanks on the go with different flavored juice in 'em.
Yep. This is why I'll never have one single ADV...I always carry at least two flavors with me and switch randomly between them. At home, I usually have at least 5 or 6 devices with different flavors at the ready...or I get out the drip atomizer and a few juice bottles to play with.

If I ate fillet mignon with peppercorn sauce everyday, there is a remote possibility I may tire of it and it no longer tastes as good as if I only had it twice a year. I doubt it, but it's possible. Same thing with vaping. I have 6 tanks in my daily rotation and only take 3-4 drags before moving on to another flavor. It could be several hours later before I'm back at the 1st tank, which tastes as flavorful as it always does.

Could be that you are bathing your tongue in a fine mist of nicotine... repeatedly. Might even be tiny droplets getting on there. When I get an actual full drop of nicotine on my tongue (happens when something goes wrong obv), it gives me a very slight chemical burn and kills my ability to taste much of anything for a little while. Smaller amounts may not give you the burned feeling, but could certainly numb up your taste buds.
