why does my atomizer (modded) make crackling and pop noises

After smoking Krakatoa Kretek for so long, I tend to associate the popping and crackling with a fresh smoke. I kinda like it, and have not every had a real megative experience from it.

On my kayfun if the crackling sound stops in the middle of a draw, I stop inhaling because I know that a burnt hit is coming. The crackling is a sure sign of a nice, flavorful hit.

I think that the noisies are just the liquid being vaporized as I could see it making a sound.
