Hey guys, what's up. I've been vaping for about 6 months now and I've gradually progressed through the gas station Blu's, to E-Gos, to Vision spinners, then finally to an EVIC and a smok Natural (for drippers and under 1.5ohm) which I use now. Out of all the devices I've had I end up using my Evic constantly! I love it! I can see that it isn't the most solid construction, and a half-hearted fall will likely destroy the head unit, but other than that why does everyone hate on the Evic so much? I've seen tons of forum posts with people saying how crappy it is for whatever reason. I tend to disagree...

It's lightweight, I work in an office so it's not under threat of being destroyed that easily, It's easily adjustable with a few clicks in either direction, detects resistance *relatively* close to what it should be, shows relevant info on the screen after a little setup, and looks/works absolutely great in black/18350 mode :D. Yet still it gets a ton of hate from people. I don't have any other higher end VV/VW devices to compare it to, so is there something I'm missing out on by using the Evic?

Meh, Joyetech has always been the number one for eGo's and cigalikes. There are so many other devices out there as far as VV/VW mods and Joyetech didn't really push the enveleope by putting out the Evic. It's about $50-$60 more than similar products and the only extra features in comes with are an advanced puff counter and the ability to charge li-on batteries in the actual device. It's far from the worst, but I don't feel like it is worth the $104 that most vendors have been charging for it.

I see. That makes sense as well, and I understand why both of those would bother some people. I do wish it would push to 15w, but overall I still love the thing! I got the Smok Natural mechanical mod with some nice AW IMR for when I know the Evic will be in danger of getting roughed up.

If those are the main reasons people hate on it though, then that is cool with me :2cool: On my vapeonly tanks I vape my 50/50 Heathers Heavenly Vapes Juices at around 7-8w max anyways before tasting burn flavor in the sweeter juices, so the limit is fine with me. I can always throw a 1-ish ohm genny or dripper on my natural if I want to experience a higher power vape!

Edit: I totally understand, I love mine! When I was researching it to buy it, though, I saw alot of bad talk about it on alot of different forums/youtube, so I figured I'd ask if I was missing out on something. :D Thanks for all the responses guys!

Awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves it! I saw alot of mixed reviews when purchasing, but once I got it I couldn't understand where any of the grips were coming from! (other than previously mentioned wattage/voltage limit and weaker build construction, both of which I was aware of when I got into it). I didn't care for the stock finish on the tubes but once I ordered the 18350 black tube and black flat head, a few Vapeonly megas that I tweaked, and I haven't grabbed anything else for a vape since. Seeing all the positive reviews from all of you makes me feel good about the choice I've made. Thanks again all!

I have TWO evics (bought through coops here on ECF) and LOV'EM both...one silver and one black. I paid about $64.00 each for them, and thought it was a great deal. I might have to do a double take to spend $100+......but I'm cheap. :)

I'm as careful with my Evics as I am with my smartphone: Don't drop'em off a balcony and they probably will last a long time.

I have to agree with most of you guys on the price. I got mine for around 70 somewhere on the internet about 2 months ago and at 100 + Tax I may have went for something like a VAMO or a lavatube. The puff counter is about useless to me... but my favorite things have to be the fact that I can run it in 18350 all day, run it as a passthrough at the desk, and never need to carry a replacement battery.

A quick question for the pros though... I bought AW IMR's for my Natural and EVic (2x 18350 and 18650's) and I've been charging the 18350's via my EVIC. Is this safe to do? It's been working great so far, and I know it's not the stock Li-Ion battery but I guess I never put much thought into it until I saw the earlier post mentioning the charging ability. Let me know if anyone thinks this is a dangerous activity.

Edit: I Agree with the topheavy remark. If I'm not using my short tube and plastic tanks on it, it is way topheavy and easy to tip. I found in 18350 mode tho with Vapeonly mega it is pretty stable. With the long tube and a protank though the thing was impossible to keep vertical. This was something I had forgot to mention earlier. I always use my Protanks/gennys on my natural now. Thanks for the input!

I also really enjoy my evic. I've been thinking about upgrading to a new device after seeing all my coworkers getting the new v3 vamos, itaste MVP and zmax, but I just can't justify upgrading to a new device when mine still works just fine. I'm still rocking the evic and the vivi nova tanks. I might have some of the "oldest" hardware at work, but at least I'm saving money lol

I was at a vape shop today, trying juices. Since I know the owner, she let me use her evic, instead of the usual evod. I never tried one before, and my initial impression was its lightness, which I equate with flimsy. All of my mods are on the heavy side. They don't feel like they are going to fall apart if I look at them wrong. IMO I wouldn't buy one.

At least Joye gives you a throw away control head option. I recommend to my customers that they keep a couple extra control heads in their glove box and to buy a Greece made battery tube. ;)

If you are new and KNOW that vaping is for you. Save yourself a ton of trouble and buy a blemished provari in the clearance section or buy a used one off the classifieds. When you drop a provari, you break a floor tile not the mod. If you want quality variable wattage, get on the list for the Fluid Cyborg DNA20 tube mod coming soon. I have wasted a ton of money being a China mod beta tester.
