So I had a mini crisis the other day when I went to rebuild on my RSST and my Evic kept telling me I had a short, when I knew there was no possible way. I took apart the RSST multiple times, cleaned the contacts, rebuilt countless coils and wicks, oxidized like I was defusing a bomb, and still I was getting shorts. I troubleshot by putting my old vivi on it, which worked perfectly fine. Then, today when I went to clean put my vivi for a new juice, I happened to look into the 510 connection on the Evic and the gold connection post was crooked! I couldn't believe it. Ive had this control head for less than a month (because I had the first version evic with the glued top which fell off and broke, so I bought the revision with the supporting screws and thought Id be all set, but no). Needless to say, I took a flathead screwdriver and lightly pulled the connection up a bit and very carefully screwed my RSST on until my evic read a resistance. And then it fired beautifully. I then proceeded to tighten my RSST ever so slightly, just so it was secure, and then again when I tried to fire it read "atomizer short". UGGGHHHHH!!! I pulled it out again and put the RSST back on but it doesnt feel secure now. I sent in a ticket to joyetech because it should definitely be covered under warranty because Ive had it less than a month but im sure they will try to tell me that its my fault somehow and its not because of their crappy craftsmanship.

Anyways, does anyone have a way I can easily fix this?

I'd see if you get any satisfaction with the ticket you placed for the defect.
If that fails you can try.....

If you take a piece of dental floss and get it under the center pin with tweezers, wrap it twice around (2 is usually enough) and tie it off with a surgeon's knot. This will help to keep the center pin from being pushed down too far when you screw in your toppers.
