My only suggestion is that the vapor is so much "lighter" than cigarette smoke. I noticed I didnt get that "full lungs" feeling. So you may be craving that feeling. It takes some time to get used to. Maybe up your Nic level a bit? I started the VK with 24mg 2 months ago. Havent touched an analog since. Good luck. and let me know if I can help you further.
My best,
-VP

Am I the only weirdo on here that his happens to? I'm vaping 16mg on the Vapor King and the Vaporello - and love them! - but will put it down and light up a Marlboro Light 100!

I used to use an M401 and it was the same way.

Can somebody help?

Thank you!

The Nicotine isn't the only thing in cigarettes that keeps us addicted...there are other chemicals there to keep us "brand" addicted. (talk about your captive audience!)

Stick with the vaping.....when you really want an analog, spike your juice with some high strength - 36 or 24mg - that should get you over most of the cravings.

If you just gotta have an analog, don't fret - have one. Remind yourself that its just 1 - not 2, or 5, or 10 or a pack a day.

and remember: Vaping is probably the easiest alternative, but its still an ALTERNATIVE. A substitute. Not quite the same thing....hang in there, and you'll one day reach for your PV instead of the analog with pleasure...

Thank you both! I've been afraid to try higher nicotine because I've read all the cautions on here, and I'm afraid it will be too harsh. But I will if you think that will help!

If you find it is too harsh, you can just cut it with a lower nic strength of the same thing or with a flavorless liquid. It might be worth a shot and at least you know it is not money wasted! :) I actually make a custom strength for myself using this method and it works perfect for curbing my analog cravings.

Best of luck.......

Hey man...
Let me say I've only been vaping for about 3 weeks but I am the same way. I agree... sometimes vaping makes me want to smoke MORE... weird. I vape most while at the computer and I can puff on this thing for 30 minutes straight... which is lovely by the way... but after that I'm still jonesing. Not a huge deal for me as I'm not going to try to quit analogs all together until after my vacation (I know myself too well)... but here are my suggestions...

Keep in mind that mixing can be dangerous but... I've noticed that some people add their own propolene glycol to their mix... that way they get more smoke. Also you could look to getting some new hardware with a larger atomizer surface area... the janty mini fogger is what I'm after, that thing bellows!

Only other thing I would say is if you are looking to quit all together, upping your nic intake might not be the best thing. Maybe try adding some pg or vg to get a better cloud?

Good luck with it though. This stuff is addictive!

Speaking of brand addiction - I used to smoke Marlboro lights loyally for 10 years. After I started vaping, I had a few and they tasted terrible.

Now my occasional cigarette is a Camel light, they are the only analog that tastes (and feels) good to me anymore, and I never really cared for them before. Vaping made me switch brands. Weird, huh?

I had the same problem when I first got my Dura-C with low nic in the carts it came with. The smoke was there, and I even start to like the so called "throat hit" but I still wanted my analog.......Then my 36mg juice came and now I am at ease....once or twice a day when I get those analog urges, I load a cart full of the 36 and that puts an end to the itch...
I have only been vaping for just over a week now, but I think the higher octane juice really helped me stop the analogs.....
then again, this is just my .02 cents.....

Getting more vapor isn't gonna do a thing except make it more fun. You need throat hit and higher nicotine for 2 reasons; You need to replicate the feel of an analog so you feel like you just smoked a cig, and you need higher nicotine to control your subliminol cravings to nicotine. Sure, a lot of it is the act of smoking, but if you can replicate that it's more than half the battle.

Try some 24mg liquid, this is exactly what it took for me to no longer need the analogs anymore, and I didn't even hide them, they were in my my top drawer collecting dust!:thumb:

I agree with those who suggest you try a higher nicotine concentration.

One of the mistakes many new e-smokers make is starting off with too high of a nicotine concentration. Since when we first start vaping, most of us vape more than we smoked, too high a nicotine concentration can really be devastating. I had a headache so bad I was afraid I'd have to quit vaping. (I was a 2+ pack a day smoker for 30 years, so naturally assumed I'd need a high nicotine concentration.)

That being said, we're also learning that different people absorb the nicotine at differering rates and with differing efficiency. Thus, while it makes sense to start off low and see if that works, you shouldn't be afraid to up the nicotine if appropriate.

What works for many folks is to vape using a lower concentration of nicotine then occasionally spiking with a higher concentration. I vape mostly low and medium (I've gone up . . . used to be no nic and low), and then spike from time to time with high.

But I also agree with those who say if you're craving an analog, maybe it's not such a terrible thing to have one. I "cheated" a couple of times early on, and the taste was so unbelievably nasty that it really helped me realize how much I actually preferred vaping to smoking. ;)

I went from a pack or more a day to 3-5 a day the minute I started vaping.. But it wasn't until my 36mg came that I completely dropped ciggies! I have since been cutting the 36mg down to 18mg most of the time, but for the bad urges I use 36mg. Eventually it will get better and I will go much lower and 18mg will be my urge kicker.

When i bought my 1st ecig about 8 months ago i would always smoke about 5-6 Marlboro cigs a day and i was a 20-30 cigs a day smoker for 25yrs i am 44 now, then 1 day i never lit up a real cig and i was just using my ecig with low nicotine juice and did great for a month then i was sitting with a friend of mine and he lit up a Marlboro and at that same time my battery went dead and forgot the other at home, so i bummed a Marlboro and holy cow i started breaking out in cold sweats and got really dizzy and that was that, i haven't touched a real cigarette since December almost 6 months now:thumb:
