Absolutely not. I keep a "minimum" list, and order replacements long before I start to run low. This is how I avoid the frustration. If my order gets delayed for any reason, I'm good. Frustration don't agree with my blood pressure.

I didn't mean that statement to be bad or offending, but actually, I really *don't* give a s**t how they ship it. I got plenty of time.

More just giving you a herd time.....:p

I agree. The only time I get antsy is when I am waiting for a new piece of technology.....(read: Janty Stick)

But even 2 batteries and an atomizer is cheaper with 1st class as long as it's an option (no 13 oz+), it's always a lot cheaper, I'm sure the weight can be automatically calculated, and if it's a bit more complicated, hey that's customer service.

Elendil is right. It's a business thing. If a shipper were to take the time to figure exact and cheap postage on every single shipment, he would fall far behind schedule.

That would = shipping delays, and added research time, which would = higher prices and slower shipping. With flat rates, and standard shipping your order is out the door, which = you get what you pay for.

We print invoices and labels, match labels with invoices, and pack orders. Paypal automatically generates the shipping labels.

With first class, one would have to pack each order, but not seal it because you must be able to see who the order belongs to, weigh each order, separate them according to weight so that the right postage ends up on the right package, count how many labels you need of each price, print labels (and maybe you need a stamps.com account or something to do that because you can't print first class from Paypal or USPS.com, to my knowledge), put the correct labels on each stack, and then seal the packages.

If one was just mailing one or two packages a day, this wouldn't be a big deal, but 40, 50, 100 packages? If we did it that way I do not believe we'd be able to get things out to our customers as quickly as we do.

I like the idea, and we did consider it, which is when the above came to light. It's just not feasible to do in bulk.

Or in other words, what Jim Davis just said!

Everything else is probably right, your'e in the position yo know. The Paypal part is'nt, I've received many 1st class deliveries with labels by Paypal. I hope you would reconsider; maybe offer it as an option with a disclaimer that it might get held up an extra day, see how it goes...

I just checked at usps.com, a 2oz envelope costs .61 or .81 (rigid object) to mail.
The catch is, it isnt an envelope, it's a first class parcel. And there's also the Delivery Confirmation fee. When it's more than 1/4 of an inch thick, it's a parcel rather than an envelope. And, bubble envelopes with nothing inside are 1/4 of an inch thick.

Any "option" would mean an extra step the shipper has to make away from the normal system. That adds cost to anything. And if delayed, priority mail would probably be faster. So your option may result in higher charges and more delivery time.

It's like people wanting simple cup holders in cars. That will mean redesign of certain areas in the vehicle, the cost of extra parts, retooling in production, adding another step in the production line, more people or robots to install, etc. Your simple cup holders just added hundreds, if not thousands of $$ to the sticker price of the car. Then people say OMG! that's too expensive.

Ahhhh, don't get me started on the shipping thing. I used to be a powerseller on ebay and I specialized in an electronic item that was bulky (think home stereo receiver). I charged a flat rate shipping that was quiet high ($25--30). I won't go into specifics, but lets just say by the time I bought supplies, packaged the item, took it to local UPS office (less expensive than USPS in this case), insurance, paperwork (out of country 75% of the time), it took a lot of time just for one package. Folks were very happy--there were a few that thought it could be done for $5.
Shipping can be a deal breaker on small items or low cost items. Because I have experience, I almost never biotch about shipping. I know there is more involved in it than it looks or seems like. You try shipping out 10 or even hundreds or thousands of items a day. You will change your tune a little. It just takes more than is thought including time.
When you do it yourself, you try to figure it on your cost per hour etc. Many times, you think, dang, I didn't even make minimum wage during my shipping time today. It gets frustrating. You want to make customers happy and yourself at the same time. When you only break even or even loose money, then the thrill is gone in a sense.
I don't do ebay anymore at the moment---and the time versus the payback just wasn't enough for me.
Now, my wife is a big barbie collector and orders many dolls and other stuff. I get a laugh everytime she biotches about shipping cost. I remind her of the times she pitched a fit because I wasn't making enough because of shipping cost and the time involved.
You just can't win for loosing sometimes---LOL

I'm assuming it's possible to assign a weight to each item in your catalog and have your software automaticaly calculate 1st class shipping rate, forward that to Paypal, have Paypal print the label accordingly pack and ship. Monoprice is one site thatcomes to mind that must do this, they always ship 1st class when appropiate and never have delays. All that being said you sellers are in the position to know, I will always prefer to get the best price so will continue shopping when possible at myfreedomsmokes and the few others that offer 1st class mail when appropiate.I really do sympathise and understand, I just wonder if with a little more research and updated software it can't be done almost as easily and the customers get more options. Thanks

Adeem;
Please research this. I checked out your favorite supplier, and believe me, you're paying for that free shipping.

M-401 Atomizer for $19.95, on sale for $12.95?

I pay for shipping, and get my M-401 attys for $3.50 each + shipping. I have 40 of them that just cleared Customs today. I'll wait a few days extra for my shipment.

I'm gone
Cheers;

To use my "favorite" supplier (myfreedomsmokes) you go to the wholesale tab (I know..silly) user: smoke pswd: puff, you then get it for $7.95 plus about $0.60 for the shipping IIRC.

Where in the world are you getting m401 atomizers for $3.50? Let me in on that please...
Maybe I can buy some off you -- I'd even pay for priority at that price

Also, many post about just sending something in an envelope at .60 cents and such. I am sure you would be happy to get an envelope with your atomizer, carts, etc. all crushed up etc.
Most items come in a box or bubble envelope at the least to help protect your order. If you got an order like the above crushed example, I am sure the first thing you would do is call an pitch a fit about receiving broken items and want them replaced.
I have actually seen the happenings behind the counter at USPS and UPS etc. I had one package that a guy just sort of tossed from waist high to the floor (item was worth 150.00 and would be very costly to return from out of country and replace-- I stood 100% behind my products). I would have almost had a heart attack, but because I was confident in my packaging, no problem. I still didn't like it, but confident that the item was ok.

Electronic Cigarette Portal

There were other people in on the order, everyone gets their split when it arrives. All these guys are ordering for their stash, they're not going to sell them off. If they sold them, they would just have to order more.

So where did you get them? Central Trade? He's the only one I see with that kind of price, 10 for $32. Is 40 pieces enough not to have to pay the extra $15? Also, how did you get together? Can I do it here on the forum?

I just got my order from central trade yesterday, and they now brand their all their M40x products. The batteries & atomizers say "royalsmoker" on them. The funny thing is they don't call it an electric cigarette anymore, they call it a "Mist Maker". They also called it Mist Maker on the customs declaration.

I ship first class and it isn't as cheap as you think. I avoid using packaging where possible and ship all my orders in bubble wrap-lined manila envelopes or use extra padding if necessary. Despite these measures, I still have to pay at least $1.70 for 3 oz and up to $6 for 9+ oz. I have no complaints though, first-class is FAST!
