Let me first say that I have been wanting to do this for a while now but just today decided on becoming a supporting member of ECF.

There are never any telethons or pledge weeks here at ecf and while I don't want to bother people with incessant moralizing or anything I think those of who use ECF should support it.

Do it because you get tons of info, do it for the newbs who will someday come here and switch and improve their health, do it because we need to fight against the fda...whatever your reasons, just do it.

it's only about 2 bucks a month....i know not everyone can afford to but if you can you should...

That's what I thought. But, when I went to fill out the info to become a supporting member, it turned out I had to pay the entire year at once. So, it's going to have to wait a few weeks.

It probably costs them more to just take out $2 a month instead of taking it out once a year, I guess.

But, those little Supporting Member badges under the user names really works. That's the only reason I'm keeping the plan to become a supporting member in my memory long enough to do it once I have the money! I've wanted to before, but always forgot by the time I had the money.

yeah i imagine theres a cost to each transaction so they prefer it all at once... you guys could maybe put a buck in a jar every other day and in a month and a half you'd have enough...its just an karma investment i think

i give money to a lot of charities but this isn't really a charity this is something we all use and benefit from

Considering all the Help and Assistance I got from ECF before I joined and lurked around for info, taking into account all the work and effort ECF Admins and mods do to maintain this Forum and keep it Civil, because it is a Great but Thankless job. The wealth and quality of the information contained within, it's was small price paid and a Very big thank you from me.

Thanks! :)

Switch to a non ECF theme in the dropdown all the way at the bottom and it will go away. I prefer the ones with a darker background anyway.

Honestly, I did it because I spend enough time here where I feel like I should be paying for it. The service is worth the fee for me. I don't hold it against anybody who doesn't see it that way or doesn't have the extra cash.

The bigger av is nice too, though somebody jacked my other popeye av, I was confused for a bit about whether or not I had posted something.

Plus, just look at all the lovely supporting members in this thread.
