Why has no one invented this yet? Take my money!

I keep hoping I'll see an improved version of the benefits brought to the market with the innokin VTR. itastevtr2.jpg What a great idea!

This provides a compact, robust form factor with the user preferred atomizer embedded in the height of the case. Essentially a slick looking, robust sidewinder style mod. The biggest problems I read about the VTR (on ECF) was weight at 13 ounces, and even then the box is still large at 4.25 inches (without the atomizer sticking up).

Now that we have the Istick and similar products, with VV /WW at 3 inches in length, this screams for a form factor that enables a user to attach their Kayfun / LEMO or other preferred RTA adjacent to the battery and controls with dimensions of approx 3" x 7/8" x 2". Pop on a shorty drip tip and this whole thing would be concealed by the palm of your hand. You could practically vape this in church!!!!

The stylish Joyetech Egrip does essentially this (at 3" x 1 3/4" x 15/16", but you're stuck with their internally installed tank - a problem for cleaning as I want to break down all the tank components on occassion for deep cleaning (tanks, chimneys, gaskets, etc) It also offers no option for upgrading as atomizer technology evolves or swapping out tanks for a different juice.

While I'm wishing, I might as well specify DNA40 controls as well!

Turns out I've found the solution, at least in theory. And when I said "take my money, the producer must have taken me seriously.

View attachment 427151 This is what I was envisioning, just not for $300. The company is Tek-division.com and they are only taking pre-orders. I think E-Leaf needs to make one.

That's pretty nice. Gotta try to find Specs for it.

VTR I think is fairly heavy, and the Billet Box is kind of lame. Hope they come out with a clone of that TEK then.

No matter how you dress it up, the problem is the design is still a one trick pony. You can use clearos with it and... that's about it. Then there's the diameter limitation of the tank. Of course you came make the $300.00 'whopper' version - but that's only good until the next larger diameter clearo comes out. Innokin tries to get around/over/through that limitation by providing an extension tube to mount something on top of the 'stabilizer ring' - but that defeats the biggest point of the design and at that point you might as well just buy a regular box.

If you love the design you love it, but a lot of people see it as a design with limitations. And the VTR is not a guarantee you won't break a tank either - it happens - along with breaking or bending the 'stabilixer ring' as well. Several threads on ECF about what you have to do to remove and file off a busted VTR ring.
